Uh, no it's not. The Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in housing on the basis of:

- Race or color

- National origin

- Religion

- Sex

- Familial status (families with children)

- Disability

It's definitely outdated, or at least location dependent. The average rent in Manhattan in 2/16 was $3,850. Landlords won't rent to you unless you earn 40x the monthly rent which is $154k. I run a couple of SAAS solo and the topic has never come up.

I created this app to streamline the order fulfillment process of my online store.

It used to take me days to fulfill orders (had to hand-write all addresses, find time to go to the post office and wait in line, etc) but now I get most orders out same day. Hipment pre-fills my shipping labels with the order details from Big Cartel, so I can just confirm everything's correct and purchase/print labels right away.

Don't forget printing, labels, test presses, and pre-mastering. I started a vinyl record label a year ago and it's wild how man people/businesses are involved in the manufacturing process.

Update: Works for me when I log out of Stripe. Nevermind.

The cards expire ~one year after the first purchase. At that point you'll have up to two years to transfer the balance to a new card. I don't see the conservation.

I imagine the event wants to fill as many seats as they can. In addition to ticket prices, they also have food, drinks, merchandise, parking, etc. to sell.

If a scalper buys five face value tickets at $50, they would only need to sell two at $150 (3x prices are common) to profit. Even if they don't sell the other three, they've made money.

So the way I see it:

Venue: Loses food/merch sales for 3 people

Fans: 3 people weren't able to attend (tickets gone, can't/won't afford/buy inflated price)

Scalper: Made $50

Not sure, but it's how a lot of karaoke tracks are made.

I'd be willing to bet that just about every professional photographer retouches each photograph in some way before printing or otherwise delivering them to the client.

Retouching takes time. If they gave away digital copies before retouching that work wouldn't be up to their standards and their reputation—and ability to gain new clients—could be harmed.
