Because EA has most of the marketshare, and can afford to make big budget titles.

If a more regulated producer had similar marketshare, I could play the big budget titles of that regulated corporation.

That may be the argument. Yet it was considered by the commission & dismissed as there are ways to monetize android profitably for google without resorting to anticompetitive contracts.

I’d encourage readers to have a look at the actual decision here:

People without savings, or who have dependents, might not have the ability to leave their jobs for the time that would be needed to retrain in alternative work. Or for that matter, bargain for better conditions.

Richer people with savings or parental support will always be able to quit & search for better work; and no doubt that’s where this arrogant ‘go and search for another job then’ sentiment comes from.

Note that China doesn’t have effective social security, so retraining isn’t an option.

You should reconsider your mental model of the law. With respect, it’s misinformed.

Law in its writing and interpretation is less deterministic, and quantity of statute is far less of a factor in its complexity than most in STEM realise.

Further, to parse law in a sense that it could be sensibly refactored, would be impossible with AI/ML as the field stands today, and I think will never be possible.

I believe your parent is referring to the 'citizenship saga'.

This isn't a constitutional crisis in the 'dismissal' sense.

It's just the operation of s44 of the constitution causing a headache for parliament. Its been found that many of the parliamentarians are dual citizens, which is forbidden, and their seats in parliament have been nullified by the high court.
