Fun fact. They banned r/fatpeoplehate over a year before banning explicitly racist subreddits like r/coontown. Really shows where their priorities are.
That's not quite true. From googling really quick, Ford sold 726k F-150s. In that same year, Tesla sold 936k cars. If you're comparing the number of cars Ford sold last year, you'd be closer but still incorrect by a few thousand cars. Ford sold about 1.91 million cars in 2019 while Tesla has sold 2.3 million cars by the end of 2021. I wouldn't consider 2 million cars a small number.
The question isn't about why he's not deified by the left. It's why is he treated as a boogeyman, which granted, isn't surprising given his behavior. But I suppose there is a point as to why he's disliked more than Bezos, Zuckerberg, or the Waltons.
24/7 isn't true at all. People keep repeating this like it's 2020. There's an ongoing energy crisis that started in 2021. Low wind speeds across all of Europe were a massive trigger.
The process takes much longer due to political issues not technical ones. The ongoing price crunch and energy sanctions have allowed Finland to speed up the process. The same thing happened with vaccine production and COVID. Normally, vaccines take much longer to develop, test, and approve. If we followed your logic, we wouldn't bother with lockdowns since a vaccine could take a decade to develop.
Except when the North Sea wind was weaker than usual in 2021, triggering an energy crisis that has persisted to this day. This impacted almost the entirety of Europe and led to a spike in gas prices, since, surprise, all the backup plants rely on gas and coal.
I think the point is that the only way to reduce crypto profitability is to impose a soft limit on electricity by massively increase the cost of electricity if you exceed a certain allotment. Otherwise, there's no real way to tell if someone is mining crypto or if they just using a lot of electricity unless it's a massive mining operation.
How you spend your time is fine. Most people lack the expertise to maintain a solar panel. This becomes an issue when you die or sell your house and the new owners don't know anything about maintaining solar roofing. Over time, this will become a massive cost center especially since solar panel installation have a painful lack of standardization, especially DIY panels, which drives up costs immensely.
Places can be built like SF, but they won't have the same access to the same opportunities. People don't realize that a lot of inequality is driven by where you live or are forced to live. SF needs more affordable housing. It needs more housing period.
Don't think Turkish drones are war profiteering considering how much utility they've had in the current war and in the Armenian-Azerbaijan conflict. Maybe you're not aware, but Ukraine has been dealing with war since 2014. This is probably the worst example you could have used since TB-2s are both incredibly practical and extremely cost efficient compared to most Western military equipment Ukraine would have purchased instead.
Who thinks that? I've never heard this. People thought Watson was a lot more capable than it actually was just because of the Jeopardy PR stunt. People outside tech were buzzing about IBM and Watson. In my experience, people outside tech barely know Palantir exists.
I'm not sure this is true. Anecdotally, across three Fortune 500 tech companies I've worked at, designers / web devs / program managers had Macbooks (or had the option of choosing Macbooks) even when the team was developing primarily in Windows.
The system is fine. What if we applied this logic to elections? Just get rid of them altogether since they're prone to brigading.
There's plenty of clickbait videos that have horrible like to dislike ratios and you can save yourself time by seeing the dislike bar. This is just removing an important piece of functionality and making the site less functional and less user friendly.
Without the like vs dislike ratio, I'm less likely to use Youtube. I'm already using Bing and Google to search for videos b/c they absolutely botched their search experience.
Does France not exist? Also Japan is already restarting its nuclear reactors because their projected emissions targets are impossible to hit without restarting the plants.
Intel's numbers are theoretical. They're still relying heavily on multi patterning for their current chips. They have yet to demonstrate competency with EUV. Intel 4 is also projected for 2023. Tsmc are producing 5nm chips right now.
