I googled and found this: https://nodes.io/story/#background
> When we set off to create a tool of our own, there were already plenty of different node-based or visual scripting/programming tools and environments; VVVV, Houdini, TouchDesigner, Cables.gl, Vizor Patches, Lichen, MaxMSP, UE4 Blueprints and Origami were among the most popular.
There are other data-over-sound libs listed here too https://github.com/ganny26/awesome-audioqr
A little self-promo here, I just released a new V2 of HackerWeb for iOS https://apps.apple.com/app/id1084209377 - it's still built with React Native, open-sourced https://github.com/cheeaun/hackerweb-native-2 with a really nice UI that I've designed, especially for comment threads.
It'll be free until end of the year. Cheers.
I personally try looking into implementing a curl "interface" to one of my projects, realised that it actually need to check the user-agent (of curl and a plethora of curl alternatives) which I find kind of weird...

Looks like `Accept-Ranges` is not there but there's `Content-Range`. Not sure how this works exactly but really glad this is fixed :D
The header is somehow removed when served from Cloudflare https://community.cloudflare.com/t/mp4-wont-load-in-safari-u...
I had to create a page rule to exclude videos from being served from Cloudflare CDN.
And a React Native iOS app to complement it https://twitter.com/cheeaun/status/1256206047837958144
I've also taken the data and built https://exploretrees.sg/
Also noticed the API ;)
This year, I release a v2.0 which I use Deck.gl to plot all 500,000+ trees on a map. If you zoom in enough and press the '3D' button, it will render 3D trees which I think is really cool.
It might crash on some mobile web browsers, tho' should be smooth on a desktop.
I was kind of expecting that the PDF generation is done with some script like https://github.com/mrrio/jspdf and then rendered with https://github.com/mozilla/pdf.js :)
The final results look really nice https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6Mlo4zfmEITcNoCpBKfEfg/pla...
Stepping thru code in Inspector is pretty troublesome as well...
Commit with code: https://github.com/webuildsg/geekbrunch.sg/commit/b995205094...
Now the site no longer uses this effect, but using another (much) cooler effect.
> By the way, since you first opened this article my ServiceWorker has downloaded XXX Mb of useless data in background. I hope you are on WiFi :)
But the code doesn't really download anything. It stores the intial datetime your first load the page, and diff to the current time, convert it to "bytes" every second.
