This is not possible with a frame.
The largest service we deploy is ~300Mb, maybe 200Mb if you exclude copy of Monaco that we ship in the Dist folder. That web server will have terabytes of database storage behind it and 32 or 64 Gb of Redis/Memcached behind it. If we add in the Elasticsearch we’ve got another terabyte and a ton of memory.
If those dependencies aren’t checked into version control or being shipped to prod does it really matter?
- the first way would be used before sending the password to the server. This would then be hashed and salted again to be used for authentication with the server. - the second way would be used locally. You could have the user create a pin to go with the password that would be used to create this hash. This hash would be the key to decrypt the contents. It would never be sent to the server.
I haven’t actually done the thinking or research to validate or invalidate something like this though. My uses of encryption have all been rather standardized.
They were a bit late on that but with that finally here there really is no excuse for Patreon to not be a PWA.

All purchases must still be allowed as in app purchases as well.
What does require an app though is sending notifications. As a result I have their app just to receive notifications of new chapter releases, then go read the post on the website.
If Apple stopped locking this functionality into applications then something like Patreon could just be a website that you pin on your homescreen.
Now another alternative is email notifications but I will tell you email sucks and most people won’t bother with it. If I start allowing notifications from my mail client I’ll get a ton of notifications that I don’t give a crap about. There is a real spam problem there which application based notifications don’t have.

Now that’s not an engine but the UI.
- Nut Allergies in particular seem to be reduced with early exposure [0]. Maybe dietary trends have changed in a way that causes less early exposure? - Child mortality rate used to be much higher. Children with allergies used to be part of this mortality rate. This combined with parents with mild allergies that might have previously not survived to have children cause the incidence to increase. - People today are exposed to many more types of food. Many people who might have a particular allergy may not have ever been exposed to that allergen.
Another one I’d throw out there would be nearsightedness. Of course a lot of people wear contacts, but I’d imagine incidence of glasses is higher than it used to be.
Reported rates of nut allergies rates have definitely increased though. [1]

Just because one person in a thread shares a YouTube video doesn’t mean everyone else loading that page should have to download 1MB+ of YouTube’s JavaScript bloat and have their IPs tracked by google.
I often wear one set to transparency when I’m alone and have a podcast going or something. Ideal for something like a grocery store but still leaves me with full awareness. They also detect if I start speaking and automatically pause whatever is playing.
After that we can start laying off the devs and firing our biggest customers. The features they use are taking up too much code!
It kind of makes me we wish there was a keyword that would grab all implementations of that trait being compiled and do the same thing though. At least for a statically linked codebase it could figure out all the sizes of the implementations
FWIW in Canada capital gains on a primary residence are completely tax exempt and their housing market is even more of a mess than in the US.
> Now, to be clear, 3M did not invent magnetic storage—that was done by Austro-German engineer Fritz Pfleumer, in 1928. He created audio tape, a recording medium that started as broad strips of paper coated with iron-powder granules, and eventually moved to less-fragile cellulose acetate with help from what would become another big name in floppy disks, BASF. At first, the innovation didn’t spread outside of Germany because of World War II.
There are a few notable differences:
- The out of the box typescript interoperability is actually very nice, and much faster than using `ts-node` as we were before.
- Installations (although rare) are a fair bit faster.
- With bun I don't have to do the frankly crazy song and dance that node now requires for ES modules.
- Using bun is allowing us to drop `jest` and related packages as a dependency entirely and it executes our test suite a lot faster than jest did.
For my personal projects I now reach for bun rather than node because
- It has Typescript support out of the box.
- It has a nice test runner out of the box.
- It has much runtime compatibility with browsers (`fetch` is a good example).
- The built-in web server is sufficient for small projects and avoids the need to pull in various dependencies.
If you’re just serving static content then of course you can get away with one small box.
If you have user content that’s being constantly updated and inserted you need a lot more.
You need databases, caches, and in our case elastic search (with ~10 billion documents). The data needs to be indexed 16 ways to Sunday to make sure that a user hitting the page with this filter or that sort selects just the right records.
If you care about reliability you should have read replicas of your DBs as well.
Where are your logs going? I’d expect servers for that as well.
Now alternative to a bunch of this you could just use SaaS products but that costs an arm and a leg.
The built in services transfer failed as did third party software.
Honestly I can’t tell you much about transferring the other way, but interoperability is definitely not seamless in this respect.
My husband uses an iMac (27” 5k display running @2x) and I struggle to do anything at that resolution.
As far as I can tell installing a package will also pull down all of its dev dependencies. This unfortunately leads to many typescript related annoyances such as jest typescript global types being pulled in despite not needing them.
I’ve seen people be a lot looser with code execution though.
