There's really no legitimate reason for eBay, or any other website, to portscan your computer. There's nothing there needed for browsing their website.
Learning the YouTube APIs saved me thousands of hours on editing video metadata, organizing playlists, etc (https://github.com/cgranier/pytube).
Everything (https://www.voidtools.com/) is a wonderful file search tool for Windows.
Thanks for all the links and ideas... new things to try this week.
[code lang=“ruby”]

True, but I don't think ladder-related are growing or have a potential to grow significantly in the future. Vaping deaths are probably increasing and since people get addicted to them (and not to ladders) there's an incentive to get them under control now.
For instance, á into a, ñ into n, å into a, etc.
Had my hopes up when I saw the title.
Does anyone have any ideas or links to working scripts that I can turn into something useful? I need to "sanitize" a database of foreign documentaries before uploading to YouTube (their metadata input system chokes on extended chars). Thanks!
1. Why is this happening only in iMessage?
2. Why does iMessage offer so many options to open a picture in? And why are apps that don't share photos included in this list?
3. Why can't iMessage share photos to iCloud?
4. Is iMessage broken? What makes iMessage different from other Apple apps included in iOS?
5. Why isn't Apple leading the charge and actively pushing this much needed interaction?
I think Android's approach is much better, which is why I was so excited at the possibility that Apple might be working on something similar. Alas...
And I did search and found nothing related to what's going on within iMessage, which I found odd. Nothing wrong with trying to guess what a company is doing.
Thanks for the links ;-)
What do you think of this investigation? Which other forensic techniques would you recommend?
(I do not know the author, but the subject matter is important to me).
As for the 12 quintillion combinations... I have no idea where that number came from either.
I wish it was true... (even though you'd then have to deal with the lot saying that the iPhone being on caused the crash).
But it just doesn't add up... it's not like Find my iPhone is magic.
1. Is there mobile data service in the Juan Fernandez Islands? And does it work that far out at sea? At the required accuracy?
2. How could Find My iPhone locate the phone if it was (presumably, at this point) underwater?
1. To allow me to feed interesting articles from my iPad into BufferApp so I can post them automatically to Twitter throughout the day:

I go through Zite, Flipboard and Hacker News every morning and queue up all the interesting articles. Buffer posts them for me at set times throughout the day. I don't have to be at my computer to tweet and I don't flood my followers early in the morning.
2. To automatically post my Instagram photos to my Google+ account:
