caxco93··on Vim Foot Pedal
I've always used Ctrl + C. I thought everyone did the same. Can't even remember where I learnt it from.
caxco93··on Show HN: This Hacker News Does Not Exist
Nice project!

Suggestion: Remove the "#" from the href value or normalize the color style for a:visited. Otherwise if you click one link, they all change to the visited color and it's really hard to read.

caxco93··on Interface Ideas for Chat Apps
Could someone please explain what Rationale is supposed to mean in this context? Why is it under every interface idea?

caxco93··on Ask HN: Publish old projects even though the source code embarrasses you by now?
I think that the fact that you have managed to finish and ship more than 1 game is amazing in itself.
caxco93··on Show HN: Clubhopr – My first indie project: 30 seconds for soccer/football fans
Yep. That's exactly what happened to me.
caxco93··on Ask HN: Technical forums that are not dominated by pedantry?
Other comment stated: > Internet gathers people that don't want human communication but technical and "optimized" (according to whomever biases that fits) which leads to what you describe.

I wonder what makes the HN community such a pleasure to interact with? Is it really only the fact that a few down votes make your comment more transparent? How did we all come to the agreement to have in fact civil discussion? Most communities have similar rules but the HN community seems to really strive for a healthy environment.

caxco93··on Hyperlinks in Handwriting
I opened this on iPhone with Safari and you can actually select the text and copy paste
caxco93··on Make-A-Video: AI system that generates videos from text
So it begins... I am genuinely excited and terrified for the technology we will have in 10 or even 5 years
caxco93··on Artist matches influencer photos with surveillance footage
I was wondering... given that this was indeed discussed extensively before (the original write up shared) is this Smithsonian post even supposed to be shared? I would have guessed it would simply be ignored.
caxco93··on Ask HN: Who is hiring? (September 2022)
Is the Remote only for Canada?
caxco93··on Ask HN: Who is hiring? (September 2022)
Am I encouraged to apply to multiple positions?
caxco93··on Run Stable Diffusion on Your M1 Mac’s GPU
could someone who has already done this please share how long it takes for a 50 steps image to be generated?
caxco93··on Why do arrays start at 0?
I always thought it was because it’s easier multiplying the index by the size of the array item to get the correct offset
caxco93··on Google fires engineer who called its AI sentient
Does this mean that if we plug that AI to a continuous speech to text system and keep feeding that as its input, you would consider LaMDA more sentient?
caxco93··on The pistol shrimp is immune to its own powerful shock waves
It was very refreshing to find the rain in the very first paragraph
caxco93··on Proxy, a new JavaScript ES6 feature
This isn't actually a new feature, but at least the thread is giving it some more exposure. It's been implemented on many browsers for some time already. I've for example used it for doing quick data-binding. It's really useful and more people should know about it.
