Also check out Band Camp for new unsigned artists. Great service and IMHO the future of the "record" industry.

Personally his opinion worries me. He claimed there was no reason for encryption in communication unless you are doing something "bad".
Giving to my father for Christmas. He is in the "nothing to hide" camp.
Hopefully enough people purchase this laptop for a gen2 to come out and by then hopefully 1600x900 or 1920x1080 on a 13.3" is the standard.
For instance:
Python/Perl (0)
Cool site. Good luck!
I suppose I would have liked this when I was first learning, if just for the error messages. But I think, like any programming, part of the learning is running/viewing your program and figuring out why the output isn't what you expected. Maybe each error pointing to w3schools for more information would benefit the user.

EDIT: noticed the 'root', making a new assumption this is a windows server box.
This is just a thought experiment, but I think fb brilliantly played wall-street and now has enough money to build an infrastructure. Internet advertising isn't creative, so what will the "next gen fb" look like? And is it worth investing in, speculating that it means nothing to them.
But I know I'm not the targeted audience.
Nokia for giving Iran the software to block peaceful protests?
The hypocrisy is killing me.
The empowerment of the censor. Scary words.
This is the greatest thing about Linux, and its curse. In Windows you have the Windows API, in OSx you have Cocoa. Sure you can add more to the mix but most of it is the main API.
I enjoyed the direction gnome2 was going, slowly filling in the niches needed to create a complete system. Then it seems they scratched that and went with gnome3. I like a lot of things about gnome3, but I wish gnome2 would not be defunct.
The same goes for kde, slowly building a complete system of tools for most users.
Both gnome and kde are the reason people would choose gtk or qt for their development.
What Unity needs (and I am not sure if it is in the works) is a true Unity API. Build apps for Unity with Unity specifics. Of course this goes against the Linux way, but if one really wants "the year of Linux on the desktop" we have to stop being a moving target.
I understand that tablets are a wonderfully portable device but you can't expect to get 100% desktop functionality. Sometimes you have to find the limit of your software/hardware.
I don't own an iPad, but is there git or the like? If so syncing and keeping track of changes would be simple.
Terrible article.
