So maybe your business model is flawed? If you can't survive without robbing your employees then you shouldn't survive at all. This would easily be solvable by building growth organically, or having companies that hook into your service willingly to offer delivery at lower cost to them than hiring a full time employee. This would necessarily limit usefulness to larger population centers, but would make it more viable long term.
Researchers from the University of Houston and Western University performed a study to discover the impact of piracy on box office receipts. They discovered that films with torrents available negatively impacted box office receipts, while torrents that became available after the film's premier positively impacted box office receipts.
Because it's a pointless comment. Fox "News" is the leading provider of television news in the United States by a wide margin. They have a widely conservative bent and one of their anchors has nightly talks with the President.
The claim that news can be unbiased is silly as all news has to be reported through a lens. The claim that news media has a "liberal bias" is a long standing conservative talking point going back to the 1970s where news media was listed as slightly liberal and then everyone ignored the follow that showed that media had self corrected based on the report.
Claiming that there's a "liberal news problem" just points out that conservatives don't like that "their President" is getting "unfairly attacked" by the media. This completely ignores that conservative media frequently runs literal conspiracy theories that have led to real life shootings with little regard to the outcome.
The point being that claiming that there's some grand liberal conspiracy ignores the fact that most of the news organizations OP cited will actually issue corrections. Fox news rarely issues them and most other mainstream conservative commentators never do because they claim they are "infotainment".
Wait you mean companies should pay for training? That's unpossible. I thought training on high level systems just happened by unemployed people taking free Youtube courses or paying for their own training. Why are we asking so much from companies. It's bad enough we only give them massive tax breaks but now we want them to train people? What's next paying them well for experience? /s
The article disproves your opinion. They are, with no punishment to bad actors, i.e. there's no 3 strike for absolutely false copyright claims, stealing money from content creators and violating the copyrights of content creators. If anything they should lose their safe harbor for facilitating copyright infringement due to their 3 strikes system that has no way to circumvent the false claims. Even if you file a counter notice, the claims are often upheld unless there's a massive outcry. Bad publicity should not be the only recourse for bad actors.
Doesn't work all that great on fleas. We had a bad flea infestation and it basically took my wife on her hands and knees with a can of Hot Shot flea killer. Bug bombs did nothing. Took us nearly 2 weeks of this to get the area clear, but it eventually worked.
That would be because regulatory capture exists. When you can write the rules because you already have the money, corruption is the norm. See the US government as an example where it's legal for government officials to commit insider trading, where they have revolving doors to lobbying, and where ethics is just the name of a committee.
You cannot claim a network that has one of their anchors literally having daily phone conversations with the President of the country they are reporting on is less biased. That's just silly. Commentators on Fox News are blatantly supportive of the President. I don't know how one gets a cozier relationship with a network than that between Fox News and President Trump. He literally watches the network to dictate policy decisions. The right wing outrage about the border wall from Fox News directly led to President Trump changing his political position. Fox News is to Republicans in America what RT is to the Russian government.
I've found Plex great for movies, my ripped television shows on the other hand tend to be weird. Since the order of DVDs, BRs don't always match up to the airing order there can be a lot of manual work in cleaning that up. Plex is also not super great with music yet. It's getting better but it's definitely having problems with a lot of my music since I've got a lot of local/indie bands.
Law enforcement in the US is primarily focused on clearing "moral" crimes or things that make their departments money. Things like murder, drug use, prostitution, and domestic violence are high targets because they are "easier" to police than things like theft. Some police departments are also funded by monies they can just take from people under "suspicion" that someone was going to commit a crime using civil asset forfeiture. Good luck ever getting that money back. Just watching a show like LivePD in the US you'll see that while there are a ton of absolutely amazing and dedicated law enforcement officers out there, there's also those who completely treat people like dirt and take every opportunity to lie or intimidate people into confessing to crimes.
This is really common in restaurants. Legal or not, it happens ALL the time. I've not only seen in in restaurants I've experienced it as a waiter as well.
Everything you said should come with the caveat for now. There's no reason that Google couldn't take the tack that Android, ChromeOS, etc. require Chrome. Chromium could also be closed off with no warning like nearly every product Google has shut down without warning. As soon as it stops being economically efficient, or Google just plain decides to move on.
I have actually done this. I work in an IT related field so it's important to me. I suspect that I'm in a vanishingly small group of people though so your point is mostly valid.
There is no current way to make a battery more reliable. It is very often the component that needs replacing. The other component would be the screen. Other than that there's not much across devices that fits "maintenance parts" categories as everything is at such a scale that it would be nearly impossible for a human to fix most things on the board, which is why they typically replace whole boards. Cell phone sales have dropped precipitously in recent years as innovation has slowed down. I don't expect folding phones to be the new hotness, rather an oddity, however the tech might make screens more durable which is a huge plus, batteries on the other hand are limited by physics, so we need replacements or new tech that lasts longer but provides the same or more power.
Coudn't that be mitigated with factory ships that produce the product en route and drop off at the end location? Ship to ship transfer is easily possible. I'm honestly asking as I don't know the true logistics behind this, but I thought factory ships already existed and did this.
With China no longer accepting dirty recyclables from the US which are terribly hard to process we're probably on our way back to multi-stream recycling. Sad fact is that apparently the recycling truck is one of the worst causes of contamination when it compacts otherwise good recyclables. It's a bit more effort and a significantly higher rate of trash versus recycling, but in the end I think it would be worth it. Your idea has merit as well, though last I knew bioplastics still had some problems to solve in order to replace standard plastics, still worth pursuing.
Yes but it would take a president like Garfield to do it. Whichever person disrupted the corruption would end up dead. I'd be willing to do it, but don't have the money to run. Garfield was a complete fluke. Surprisingly Arthur, someone who benefited from corruption ended up paring it back in memory of Garfield.
I have seen the Indian manager phenomenon in 3 separate companies. Literally everyone other than me was Indian previously in my management and adjacent chain. All of them were financially intertwined. When one quit they all quit. I was only there because they hadn't hired me. There was not a single person that they hired that was not Indian. This is definitely a real phenomenon.
Steganography has a bad connotation because it's heavily used in the pedophilia realm which would limit it's uptake, somewhat like torrents. Perfectly valid and useful tech that gets used by a few but not by most.
I think Telegram, even with it's flaws, is the closest I've come to an easy to use encrypted messaging app that I can get my mother to use and like.
His base includes a number of people voted into office. It's really kind of odd that they can't even trust when their own party has the entirety of government. I don't understand why people dislike any government, yet don't like if you call them anarchists either. The arguments aren't consistent. The odd thing is most people do not disagree with a wall in places that make sense. A wall for a wall's sake is just pointless. I'd rather put that into tools or manpower (or heaven forbid pay increases). A single drone with heat vision could scan entire sectors, be controlled remotely and wouldn't require using eminent domain. Also it couldn't be dug out, cut down, or climbed over or through. As General Patton is quoted to have said "fixed fortifications are a monument to the stupidity of man".
I don't have a problem with protesting, free speech, or even speech I disagree with. Civil discourse is important, kind of like we're having here. Claiming these kids were innocent victims of media is just as disingenuous as claiming the first story was completely accurate. The fact is the kids did go there to create controversy and didn't like it when it came with media attention, good or bad. It's like showing up to a WWE match and claiming surprise when someone uses a weapon in the ring.I go back to my original stance of don't use kids as political props and they won't be treated like it.
They shot him from across the street, with poor visibility, from a semi concealed position for pulling up his pants. There are no non-lethal tools that would have worked at the distance they were at and the man would have had to have been a fantastic shot to pose a risk to the officers based on the distance.
In the video the officer who fires is to the left of the speaker. Caution you will see someone getting shot to death.
The MAGA story wasn't fake news. The kids were there to stir up controversy about abortion rights and wore MAGA hats because they knew it would be inflammatory. They also told the native American that "stealing land is just how it's done" and were very obviously making comments at him. Yes the Black Israelites were terrible people making terrible comments, but let's not hold the kids or especially the school blameless. This is the same school that used to think dressing in blackface, black painted faces with pink or white lips, was okay (there's no problem dressing in all black without the paint). This school knowingly sent kids into a political arena and this is the fallout. Perhaps the school should avoid using children as political props in the future.
