bunkydoo··on The User Is Drunk
So what prevents me from saving $150 and getting some homeless guy at the shelter to do this same shit for the price of a bottle?

bunkydoo··on Meadow (YC W15) ‘Ubered’ Over a Doctor to Give Me a Medical Marijuana Evaluation
Well, here's the thing. I'm not actually sure doctors will be out of the mix with legalization on the horizon. Because to expand the cannabis market and poach alcohol sales - you could have doctors vouch for cannabis & cannabis-infused products as remedies for common ailments (when is the last time a doctor did this for a brand of vodka?)Think Mary-Kay - but for doctors who endorse weed. This market is going to be a lot bigger than I think anybody realizes.
bunkydoo··on Ross Ulbricht Convicted of Running Silk Road as Dread Pirate Roberts
Could have seen that coming long long ago.
bunkydoo··on Research into psychedelics, shut down for decades, is yielding results
As someone who has done their fair share of psychedelics - I would feel like a coward consuming these substances if I had a terminal illness. If I knew damn straight that I was gonna die, I wouldn't want to numb it up with a substance. I'd want every minute of pain, suffering, and emotional baggage to be taken on with a sober mind.

But that is my personal choice. I would say it's probably a very positive thing on the other hand for people like Patrick who never consumed these substances. DMT might be the best one for someone who is dying, as it is hypothesized that pineal gland floods an endogenous version of this chemical into your bloodstream upon death. Consuming it prior to death could potentially work as a "practice run" to help cope with the real thing as sad as it sounds.

bunkydoo··on Robert Scoble to take 2 months off
I think this is the beginning of a pattern. I was once a die hard techie too, addicted to all the new gadgets, spending 10+ hours out of the day in the Valley in front of 5 glowing monitors - but these apps and devices run the same patterns in our brain as drugs and alcohol. Their a vice. I cold turkey dropped drugs, social networks, my smartphone, and more of my gadgets about 9 months ago. Never been happier.

bunkydoo··on U.S. Spies on Millions of Cars
and thats a hidden GPS - I own a 2004 ford that apparently has this and there is no navigation interface in the vehicle.
bunkydoo··on U.S. Spies on Millions of Cars
It goes deeper than even what this article describes - a ford exec admitted last year that they put GPS in all vehicles (post 2004 i think) but they "don't release the data" not sure how much I trust that statement in today's world...
bunkydoo··on Coinbase Exchange
Not yet in my state :( Looks great though, can't wait until the regulatory issues and what-not get resolved. This could be really really cool.
bunkydoo··on LSD: The Geek's Wonder Drug? (2006)
That was 2006, DMT is the Geek's drug in 2015. The businessman's trip is a lot shorter and cleaner than this shit. You take 1 tab of LSD and you will be going for 10+ hours solid. DMT however - you just throw up some fractals on the external monitors, sprinkle it on some ganja, and then get transported to another universe for 15 minutes that may feel like hours actually. It's great for creative design as it is more a "symmetrical" experience than LSD. It occurs naturally in the brain and is hypothesized to be released by the pineal gland during birth, death, mental illness, falling in love, having children etc.

Some people have reported "aliens" or "mechanical elves" in their experiences with DMT. (I never had anything like this though oddly) This could explain a lot of those area 51 alien reports though - the CIA could have very well have tested this substance alongside LSD in the MKULTRA experiments of the 50's and 60's and had a few test subjects genuinely think they saw aliens due to the fact they unknowingly ingested a psychedelic chemical. Wow, that theory is worthy of a conspiracy Keanu meme....

bunkydoo··on Ray Ban Camera Mod
Modded these aviators to support a 5mpx 1080p camera, also hacking together some other modules for it... Sadly it's tethered to a raspberry pi, but still fully mobile with the right accessories.
