Think that digital key is going to work in 20 years when you're on iOS 44 or whatever? I'd be genuinely shocked.
I'd say there's a slim possibility.
But clearly it's a tough nut to crack because there hasn't really been much progress despite the necessity/urgency.
You can function obviously, but not as society expects you to or even in way they can understand. For that reason, you receive the label of "has a disability".
The term "disability" is unfortunately as much a reflection of societal norms as it is genuine medical diagnosis.
This is pretty incredible.
My desktop is 6 years old with an i7 CPU (high-end) and 750Ti GPU (entry level). My monitor is a 24" 1080 Samsung bought new in 2009 for ~$120 at Frys if I recall. All in all, this package cost me $1,300 (there was a sale on the i7 at purchase).
I use it heavily for photography, occasional video and audio, and I'm currently playing Fallen Order (released Nov. 2019) with Medium+ settings (Texture is high) loading from a SSD bought in 2016. There is admittedly some weakness in the gaming department, but otherwise, zero issues. But I do think I'll buy a used 1660/2070 GPU and monitor in a few months to upgrade.
I have an iPad Mini 4 I use when traveling and going to coffee shops and that pretty much always fits my mobility needs.
Too many people are buying $1.5k+ plus laptops that they don't maximize usage of, then chuck away in 3 years because they either die due to the compromising form factor or because they want an unnecessary upgrade to browse the internet.
The problem IS that I don't trust who owns and shares that data and what else it could be used it for.

In a theoretically perfect trustworthy world, would I relax my security settings if I knew that my information would only be used to show me advertisements for audio equipment and scotch? Totally.
But no, I do not and will never trust Facebook or basically any other corporation to not abuse my data.
It is that companies have tens of billions of dollars they can spend to acquire companies that are hundred-million-plus net-losers.
That lump sum of acquisition money could have been spent in significantly more meaningful ways.
Josh gets the exit he really seems to need for his personal and financial well-being.
Xenon gets one heck of a product for honestly quite cheap. Better marketing will actually go a long way here.
There are 4 different ones I use. One I use professionally, one to mod an extremely large subreddit, one I use that’s semi-anonymous, and one I’ve had for like 8 years.
Different audiences for each account but apparently all indicating the same type. I guess that validates the consistency of the tool.
If Uber and Lyft are set on not paying the drivers full time, just cap the hours a driver can have at 20 per week.
That will fix mostly everything.
- It solves Uber/Lyft problems because they won't have to pay for benefits.
- It solves the government's problems because they don't have to worry about full-time workers being taken advantage of.
- It solves civilian problems because it make the roads less congested.
I am concerned though. Some precedent has been set with opening up default maps and browser choices. I know those aren’t about person-to-person communication, but still.
Time to watch “The Supremes” episode of West Wing and cry.
A 9" screen on that would be my dream. I take my mini everywhere because of the form factor.
(Also, touch ID integrated into the top button is great)
That said, Lucid is not improving range through battery pack addition, but rather through increased efficiency which reduces the size of the pack, which is promising.
From their press release: "Lucid’s (efficiency) breakthrough is not merely just a few percent; we are talking about a significant improvement, which I shall cover further on September 9th."
The word "big" suggests the size and weight of the battery is bigger, which is not the case. That would be entirely unremarkable. Their quote directly states this: "It's relatively easy to achieve more range by adding progressively more batteries, but gaining 'dumb range' that way increases weight and cost, and reduces interior space." He continued, "Lucid Air has achieved its remarkable range whilst also reducing battery size"
A better title: "Lucid Air's EV 113.0 KWh Battery Is More Powerful, Efficient, and Lighter-weight Than Tesla's"
Venture Capital would be helped by a formal renaming of funding rounds. "Series A" or "Series B" is not indicative of what that money is for. Even "Seed" doesn't really mean anything these days. It would help clarify expectations for founders and VC.
According to your website, I can set up an individual account not tied to my employer and it's free to do so.
Can you also explain what the process looks like of connecting an individual account to an corporate account? (ie: I have a Charityvest account and my future employer has a corporate account)
Could bake in referral code tracking to apps so developers know who is sending them business.

Why pay for a loan with equity when you can pay cash? The interest rate on equity payment is exponentially higher than it is for cash.
Plus, if you already have attractive traction, why do you need the "premium features" a VC offers versus a bank which are extra experience, some networking effects, and maybe some insider info on acquisition opportunities? So you can be forced into expedited aggressive growth and turn into WeWork or make less money if the company is acquired? No thanks, the business is already proven and working!
Traction for VC money makes no sense to me.
...Unless you secretly have ZERO intention of ever selling and just want to pocket some play money for the business.
I'd say 40% for 80-85% from my experience.
Wall Street needs more of them.
Keeps the aesthetics of the image but also removes the face entirely.
I think it's worth noting the class-action lawsuit is asking for at least $5 Billion
I'll also encourage the use of DuckDuckGo.com for your search and [1] uBlock Origin, [2] Searchonymous (it prevents google from tracking your searches if you're logged in to an account), and [3] Google Search Link fixer (removes link tracking from Google Search links) in Firefox, but would happily update if anyone has better recommendations.

When a tweet is deemed response-worthy, they should post the report numbers. Value in numbers shields them in many ways and could legitimize their actions as a neutral party. Then, if they miss something, they can simply say there weren't enough reports. This will then empower the feature in the future.
I suggest this as active Reddit moderator with a community of 40,000+ subscribers who regularly has to enforce rules and uses auto-mod to help manage reports and shares that with the community.
-----------------------
You can report tweets for:
(1) Being not interested in it (you just get redirected to a mute or block button)
(2)It's suspicious or spam
---> The account is fake
---> Includes a link to a potentially harmful or phishing site
---> Hashtags are unrelated
---> Uses the reply function to spam
---> Something else
(3) It's abusive or harmful
---> It's disrespectful
---> Includes private information
---> Includes targeted harassment
---> It directs hate against a protected category (eg race, religions, gender, orientation, disability)
---> Threatening violence
---> They're encouraging self-harm or suicide
(4) It's misleading about politics or civic events
---> It has false information about how to vote
---> It intends to suppress or intimidate someone from voting
---> It misrepresents it's affiliation or impersonates an official
(5) It expresses intentions of self-harm or suicide.
-----------------------
It's pretty good but I would suggest the very simple following updates:
- Updating the main issue (It's abusive or harmful) to (It's abusive or encourages violence or destruction of property)
- Adding a sub-issue to (It's misleading about politics or civic events) with (A political official is supporting false or unsubstantiated information as definitive truth.)
- Adding a sub-issue to (It's suspicious, spam, or false) with (It's supporting false or unsubstantiated information as definitive truth.)
- Adding chevron icons (>) as a visual cue that each main reporting issue has many sub-issues
