brianjking··on POML: Prompt Orchestration Markup Language
Neat, but I'll probably stick with DSPy.
brianjking··on Humanloop Joins Anthrophic
Omg, congrats to Raza and the team!
brianjking··on Show HN: Sidequest.js – Background jobs for Node.js using your database
The AGPL license makes me so confused every time I read it. This "network effect" really is so deeply confusing.
brianjking··on Why is AI so slow to spread?
People.
brianjking··on Prompting LLMs is not engineering
The same people who are arguing that words have meaning are the same ones arguing both for and against prompting/context management and construction being "engineering".
brianjking··on Show HN: Claude Code Usage Monitor – real-time tracker to dodge usage cut-offs
Latent Space.

"Claude Code is also the most direct way to consume Sonnet for coding, rather than going through all the hidden prompting and optimization than the other products do. You will feel that right away, as the average spend per user is $6/day on Claude Code compared to $20/mo for Cursor, for example. Apparently, there are some engineers inside of Anthropic that have spent >$1,000 in one day!"

brianjking··on My AI skeptic friends are all nuts
Love all of this.

Most importantly, I'll embrace the change and hope for the possible abundance.

How much ram is in your m1?
brianjking··on OpenAI Livestream at 11am PT
Looks to be something related to image generation, surely not to be outdone by Reve Image
brianjking··on Gemma3 Function Calling
Thanks, Gemma is fantastic and that it supports function calling is great.
brianjking··on DuckDuckGo's AI beats Perplexity in one big way – and it's free to use
This is stupid, as Perplexity offers this very thing (model selection and data retention for training) can be opted out.

With that said, competition is great and I'm all for Duck Duck Go and Perplexity!

brianjking··on Auntie PDF – an open source app built using Mistral OCR
Knowing that you have to do that as a separate step adds a whole additional level of complexity too.

For example, if some content has the images and some don't, you need to add whole additional steps to your processing and potentially add hallucinations in.

What are you using for document extraction lately, Simon?

brianjking··on Ask HN: Has Anyone Used Adamcad Yet?
Why would it matter if it's a one shot prompt to complete CAD?
brianjking··on Show HN: Fork of Claude-code working with local and other LLM providers
Aider seems great unless you're constantly working in a ton of repos.
brianjking··on OlmOCR: Open-source tool to extract plain text from PDFs
I'm using the GGUF in LMStudio found here: https://huggingface.co/allenai/olmOCR-7B-0225-preview-GGUF
brianjking··on OlmOCR: Open-source tool to extract plain text from PDFs
Has anyone figured out how to load this on a Huggingface endpoint?
brianjking··on Setting Up AI Agents
Massively depends on countless factors. Are we talking 365 Copilot and a Sharepoint agent? That's seconds.
brianjking··on Andrej Karpathy: Deep Dive into LLMs Like ChatGPT [video]
Karpathy is too good to us. These videos are so incredibly valuable, thank you for sharing.
brianjking··on US Bill Proposes Jail Time for People Who Download DeepSeek

brianjking··on Show HN: CopyCat (YC W25) – Free Alternative to OpenAI's $200 Operator
ok, it appears to be a wrapper of browser-use.com and playwright? What else, I'm not sure.
brianjking··on Show HN: CopyCat (YC W25) – Free Alternative to OpenAI's $200 Operator
Can you please share more about Meha? Which models are you using? Is this just a wrapper of browser-use.com and Playwright?

What is your monetization strategy?

brianjking··on Show HN: CopyCat (YC W25) – Free Alternative to OpenAI's $200 Operator
What is the actual technology being used here? Which LLM/VLM? Playwright? What do you store? What do you not?

Tell me actual details.

brianjking··on Show HN: We're Building a Desktop App for Browser Agents
How are you controlling chrome in this case?
brianjking··on [dead]
So sad, hopefully we don't have this one blamed on Obama and DEI.
brianjking··on O3-mini System Card [pdf]

brianjking··on Show HN: Workflow86 - An AI business analyst and automation engineer
How the hell do you have so many typos on your website?
brianjking··on Ask HN: Tips for Interview Preparations with ADHD?
Did your normal doctor prescribe it? I've always wanted to try this.
brianjking··on Leaked Documents Show OpenAI Has a Clear Definition of 'AGI'
This definition is at least covering a lot more of what AGI should be discussing.

Not some arbitrary amount of profitability. I surely hope both Gizmodo and The Information are incorrect in this article.

brianjking··on Trying out QvQ – Qwen's new visual reasoning model
Damn, I'm struggling to run this on a M4 Pro with 48gb.
