They will presume the before traffic was bots? Unless they also see a drop in sales or ads they won't notice.
bombolo··on Stop Using Brave Browser
> Just use Chrome with uBlock Origin.

Until they ban adblockers for good…

bombolo··on Blocked by Cloudflare
You're assuming website owners are aware of the issue… How would they know? Cloudflare is just telling them it blocked a bunch of bots.
bombolo··on Blocked by Cloudflare
cloudflare blocks me every time I open an incognito window. No VPN, just having no cookie towards a domain automatically means I'm a bot…
bombolo··on PyPI Requires 2FA for New User Registrations
I'm personally annoyed by 2FA.

Most importantly, as a normal person, I'm more inclined to go through security hoops with internet banking and payments, and much less so for every single website that exists.

Website owners can just stop using cloudflare though…
bombolo··on PyPI Requires 2FA for New User Registrations
pypi doesn't require 2fa to upload.

They use 2fa to login onto the website and make you create a token. After that you just save the token within your project and have a script to upload new versions.

so they claim… not that fb has ever given us a reason to trust them.

Never heard of it. Perhaps not in the entire europe?
bombolo··on Google Maps has become an eyesore
How can google maps monetize when openstreetmaps exists?
bombolo··on AI won’t replace humans, but humans with AI will replace humans without AI
Yes I'm sure the invisible hand will magically make them decent, lol.

Enjoy your fantasies mr internet bully :D

bombolo··on AI won’t replace humans, but humans with AI will replace humans without AI
I get a strong feeling that you're an ableist and generally an asshole.
bombolo··on AI won’t replace humans, but humans with AI will replace humans without AI
Ah, a firm believer in the bullshit of the invisible hand! I find horoscopes to be much more science based to be honest.

> your little town or wherever you live is just lame

I'm sure you're aware that the term "lame" is offensive, discriminatory, and should really be avoided?

bombolo··on North American English Dialects
Eh, in Italy an inability to correctly pronounce the R letter is normally associated with "rich asshole".
bombolo··on Why ISO was retired (2021)
Cool, I will soon need to replace my hard drive, I can give it a try.
bombolo··on AI won’t replace humans, but humans with AI will replace humans without AI
I'm sure there are bakeries from here to the 400km away one. But even if they are 5km, why bother? Unless the nearby one is so bad that it can't be considered altogether.
bombolo··on AI won’t replace humans, but humans with AI will replace humans without AI
That was google's demo for the AI in gmail. You write 3 words explaining what you want to say to an AI, which inflates it; and on the other side another AI goes back to hopefully the same 3 words that were originally written.

Tons of pollution for this shit.

bombolo··on GitHub Actions and vanity metrics
No worries, it's full of bots that like random repos to confuse the detection systems about the account being a bot.
bombolo··on AI won’t replace humans, but humans with AI will replace humans without AI
> A baker with a website and an online presence is finding more customers than a baker who only exists in the real world.

Oh yeah there's a nice bakery 400km from here… I'll just go there rather than the usual one down the street! /s

I'm still full of spam anyway. Especially in my work email.

And they are all needed at the same time?
bombolo··on Linux surpasses the Mac among Steam gamers
It's responsive but most people aren't so technically skilled.

I have a game that works fine with proton on one machine, but doesn't on another machine. But works fine with windows on both machines.

I tried for hours to get it to work on the other machine, since it clearly can. No luck.

In the end with proprietary software, it's always a black box.

bombolo··on Linux surpasses the Mac among Steam gamers
Are you replying to something else?

They claimed that they'd need a different implementation per distribution. Which makes no sense. It's just open()/ioctl_tty()/read()/write(), all of which are in the libc of every distribution that has ever existed since the 90s.

bombolo··on Linux surpasses the Mac among Steam gamers
Yep. But they are so completely ignorant about linux that they probably even believe that nonsense excuse is real.
bombolo··on PSF Hires PyPI Safety and Security Engineer
Another layer on top of another layer, on top of another layer, that ultimately uses pip. Of course!

People want to replace pip with poetry, despite poetry being just an extra layer of complication on top of pip.

bombolo··on PSF Hires PyPI Safety and Security Engineer
If your software requires 2 different versions of the same library, there is something deeply wrong with it.
bombolo··on Linux surpasses the Mac among Steam gamers
once a developer from a company whose device i had bought, told me they couldn't support linux because every distribution had a different way to open a serial port and read data.
bombolo··on Linux surpasses the Mac among Steam gamers
proton is good, but it's not nearly that good.
bombolo··on Why ISO was retired (2021)
To make a windows bootable USB you need windows.

Doing dd (or cp) will make a device that boots the installer but ultimately will fail to install.
