I don't think folks who make $500 a month are going to have an Apple computer and the time to develop. Why are you using illogical examples to make your point?

That's a weird way to frame Netflix enforcing the ToS users like you agreed to.
You are selling your time.

Never seems a bit strong, it depends on the context. You can use = on int types all day.
This happened, exactly as you describe, before my eyes at a well known education startup in Denver 2 years ago. HR representatives publicly humiliated someone for defending protestors on January 6th. Their take was entirely in bounds and amounted to "I think we're talking past one another with the heightened rhetoric, we should have more compassion for other perspectives." They later were forced to publicly apologize for their "short-sighted comments" that "harmed BIPOCs." It was insane.
Looking back, that place was a leftist echo chamber like I have never seen, and hope to never see again. Really sucks how much politics is still driving a "data-driven" world.
Piracy culture is human ecology.
That process did its job of filtering you out quite well. Thanks for confirming my suspicion on the dot!
> What contribution are people expected to make? Why does culture or level or tech aptitude matter if they're not interacting with anyone?
Again, if you don't understand how popcorn time was tragedy of the commons, I'm not going to sit here and lay it out for you. Fact of the matter is, piracy does not need to be made more accessible, and doing so would be a grave danger to the good parts of its culture.
Culture matters. Understand what maintains it. Protect it.
HDHomerun does this.
No. Popcorn time was a massive free rider/tragedy of the commons problem and a new version of it will continue to erode the good parts of piracy culture that exist.
If you're too lazy to contribute effectively to these cultures, you should just keep paying for Netflix or IPTorrents.
Yep. But the damage has already been done.
At least you have a voice. I recommend using it to change what bothers you.
Yeah, because folks like you insist that office culture has nothing to do with productivity. I wonder if you've ever worked somewhere productive.
> dragging us back into the office
Dragging? Are we slaves now?
You have self awareness, lean into that. You don't seem like you're making excuses, but if you dwell for too long you'll get there fast. Just keep moving forward, improving, and try to make each day better than the last one. It's all we can do.
If you don't notice how much money-momentum is behind it, you're burying your head in the sand. I think it's an interesting time because we are seeing how the market squeezes value out of emerging technology.
