blasphemers··on Twitch to Cut 500 Employees, About 35% of Staff
No company actually does this, they are just bloated because they have so much money and managers rank/value is determined by how many people they manage.
blasphemers··on Max Verstappen Is Still Too Young to Rent a Sports Car
Ok, let's throw you on the formula 1 grid and see how well you do. I bet you couldn't even get through a single lap.
blasphemers··on New U.S. immigration rules spur more visa approvals for STEM workers
They probably made ridiculous requirements on the listing to show they posted the job and could not find people that met the description so they could hire an H1B
blasphemers··on Max Verstappen Is Still Too Young to Rent a Sports Car
You think professional drivers crash much more often than the average driver? That is a ridiculous assertion, especially with no evidence to back it up.
blasphemers··on Max Verstappen Is Still Too Young to Rent a Sports Car
I don't think they made an exception because he is famous, they made an exception because he is an extremely successful professional driver and I doubt they would make the same exception for Taylor Swift.

Where do you get that it violates the company rules? The Nurburgring is a public road that doesn't have rules against rental cars and it's pretty common for people to take rental cars on it.

blasphemers··on Max Verstappen Is Still Too Young to Rent a Sports Car
This may be the most absurd statement I've ever seen on this site.
blasphemers··on Max Verstappen Is Still Too Young to Rent a Sports Car
I don't think having an exception for any high-level professional driver, regardless of their win count, is an arbitrary exception when it comes to renting sports cars.
blasphemers··on Max Verstappen Is Still Too Young to Rent a Sports Car
I'm pretty sure they know he is a much better driver than anybody else renting the car and is less likely to be in an accident.
blasphemers··on New U.S. immigration rules spur more visa approvals for STEM workers
Or we could try and solve the issues that lead to stagnant population growth which mostly stem from lifestyle and financial choices.

So basically you only have open engineering positions in the same few markets that every other tech company does and then you complain when you can't find enough engineers. Engineering talent doesn't only exist on the coasts, despite startup tech culture pretending it does.
blasphemers··on Spotify CFO cashes in £7.2M in shares after value surges on news of job cuts
Not necessarily, the article didn't say what percentage of his stock he sold. It's pretty normal risk management to diversify your portfolio and he could have just needed the cash. Interest rates are pretty high right now, maybe he wanted to pay off something instead of using his line of credit.
blasphemers··on Anduril announces Roadrunner, jet-powered VTOL drone
> Well, it has been for the Ukrainians to decide

This is idiotic, it is not up to the Ukrainians to decide to join NATO, their decision ends at applying for NATO membership. Not everybody gets to join NATO, it's not some open membership organization that anybody gets to join.

blasphemers··on Bitwarden raises $100M
That's because they did a complete rewrite of it, something they talked about on a couple podcasts before they took on funding.
blasphemers··on The Life of NHL Dentists
Visors are mandatory in the NHL, players not wearing them before the ruling are grandfathered in though.
