blactuary··on Hetzner Prices increase 30-40%
Incumbent owners preventing the construction of more supply to maintain their own property values is not "free market". This is very basic stuff

blactuary··on Editor's Note: Retraction of article containing fabricated quotations
He's on the AI beat, if he is unaware that a chatbot will fabricate quotes and didn't verify them that is a level of reckless incompetence that warrants firing
blactuary··on An AI agent published a hit piece on me – more things have happened
It's not off topic to point out that the company being discussed is evil and should be put out of business
blactuary··on An AI agent published a hit piece on me – more things have happened
Some companies have enough of a track record that they should be nuked from orbit, and "Company bad" is all that is worth saying. Meta is one of those companies. Palantir is another. Not holding them accountable and acting as if we should continue engaging with their products is part of the reason we are rapidly sliding towards dystopia
blactuary··on Data centers in space makes no sense
He "learned" by illegally poisoning black people

> an engineering and physics problem that he will somehow solve

no he won't

blactuary··on Moltbook is the most interesting place on the internet right now
Yes exactly. Way too many people who ought to know better are like "this is cool!" and when disaster happens are going to have egg on their face
blactuary··on Please don't say mean things about the AI I just invested a billion dollars in
If they want to abandon noblesse oblige we can certainly go back to the old way of evening things out. Their choice
blactuary··on ICE using Palantir tool that feeds on Medicaid data
Wtf are you talking about? I didn't link any article

And no I will not question the claim. What is wrong with you?

blactuary··on ICE using Palantir tool that feeds on Medicaid data
No, I do not. I literally said "I have absolutely no insight into this instance"

A woman claimed she was raped by her partner. She left that partner some time later. You questioned it because she didn't leave him immediately and left him after allegations of cheating, completely ignoring the complexity of being in an abusive relationship, and expressing skepticism of the woman for not immediately leaving him. That is really shameful and gross to do.

And even here you are expressing skepticism "Tell me what difficulty she had". You clearly are out of your depth here, clearly ignorant about the dynamics of abuse, and are saying some really nasty stuff about a woman you know nothing about, and now digging in your heels when it's pointed out. You have no place to question anything about this woman's relationship.

blactuary··on ICE using Palantir tool that feeds on Medicaid data
You did not just ask a question. You said:

> So she didn't have any problems "escaping" the relationship.

blactuary··on ICE using Palantir tool that feeds on Medicaid data
It has nothing to do with reading another article and I have absolutely no insight into this instance and neither do you. You do not and cannot know what is going on in that woman's life to judge her like that, and it's really gross to try and do so.
blactuary··on ICE using Palantir tool that feeds on Medicaid data
So he was willing to make a business deal with the country that executes gay people, as long as HE wasn't in danger? Legitimizing their regime is perfectly OK if it doesn't affect him? The fact that he was negotiating with them makes that incident look even worse for him, not Gawker
blactuary··on ICE using Palantir tool that feeds on Medicaid data
This is gross man. Abusive relationships are way more complicated than that, judging someone in this situation because you read one article about it is out of line
blactuary··on Around 1,500 soldiers on standby for deployment to Minneapolis
Yes it does, when she was the one recruiting people to participate.

Are you suggesting there is something inherent to being Somali that means they are more likely to commit fraud?

blactuary··on Around 1,500 soldiers on standby for deployment to Minneapolis
What other fraud? The Feeding Our Future fraud is the biggest case and they got caught and prosecuted. 80 people have been convicted
blactuary··on Around 1,500 soldiers on standby for deployment to Minneapolis
And the ringleader of the fraud was a white woman who is awaiting sentencing, but they ignore that part
blactuary··on What life is like in Minneapolis now
Here is an agent arresting a US citizen, for the expressed reason of having an accent. What is the perspective and motivation here?

blactuary··on What life is like in Minneapolis now
> I'm not trying to defend or justify

Yes you are, when you say things like this:

> those ICE agents have a perspective, they have motivations, they're people

They are racist, fascist thugs, it's that simple. They want to terrorize immigrants and brown people. There is no need to overthink this. They are racially profiling people every day, and arresting citizens because they are minorities. They shot a mother in the head and now they are telling the rest of us "didn't you learn your lesson?", alluding to that murder. They tear-gassed a family of 6 trying to get home the other day, including a 6 month old baby that lost consciousness. The family had nothing to do with anything, they were simply trying to get home in an area ICE was attacking.

What "perspective" could possibly change anything about this shameful behavior?

blactuary··on What life is like in Minneapolis now
What is the unbiased view of a federal agency geared up for war kidnapping and terrorizing people in the streets of American city? You have no idea what it's like here right now.
blactuary··on The Palantir app helping ICE raids in Minneapolis
We're not passive, they would shoot us in the head
blactuary··on 73% People Detained by ICE Have No Convictions
Is this "enforcing immigration policy"? https://bsky.app/profile/dominicervolina.com/post/3mc3b6soa2...
blactuary··on 73% People Detained by ICE Have No Convictions
Nonsense. They are targeting people who are here legally. Cancelling their asylum applications while they are in the legal process and then arresting them at court, when they are following all of the rules.

There are also millions of people who were brought here as babies or young children, through no fault of their own, and who have no ties whatsoever to the country where they were born. There should be a process to fix that, sending them to a faraway country they have never lived is disgusting.

At every turn Republicans have fought any attempt to find sensible solutions because they want to wield "they are here illegally!" as a cudgel, and they have fooled people like you

blactuary··on Video filmed by ICE agent who shot Minneapolis woman emerges
There was no deadly force from the driver, you either haven't watched the video or you are incredibly dishonest
blactuary··on Video filmed by ICE agent who shot Minneapolis woman emerges
Absolute nonsense

And if it were true that he was at risk of being hurt by the car, shooting the driver would be the last thing to do. Look what happened when he shot her, she lost control, accelerated, and ran into a parked car

It is literally in there twice, what the hell are you talking about?

This is amazing. You are tripling down despite being unequivocally wrong. Just incredible

"We’ll see how it shapes up in the next few years. But if the racists or the other racists are still running the show, we really are just cooked."
