billme··on Blur Tools for Signal
Without sold proof this is not possible to circumvent, this maybe more dangerous than not.

Here’s an example of AI being able to identify a blurred face: https://twitter.com/ak92501/status/1267609424597835777

Identifying an individual is not just about a face, but number of factors that are much more complex and very hard to account for in a systematic way.

If Signal is really concerned about allowing individuals to control the information they leak, they need to prioritize releasing the feature that will allow users to use Signal without providing phone numbers; one of their staff recently publicly stated this is finally likely to become a feature. Not to mention stop repeatedly asking for the user to provide their name, access to contacts lists, etc.

billme··on Postmodernism and Its Impact (2017)
Since you have only provided one meaningful example, I will focus on it.

>> that being you said, “Foucault, for example, was successful not because he said true things, but because he said new and previously unimaginable things, and expressed them lyrically.”

>> Wikipedia: “Foucault's theories primarily address the relationship between power and knowledge, and how they are used as a form of social control through societal institutions.”

Your reasoning in sum appears to be that you don’t understand something, so it must be without merit.

Sure, one might argue that Foucault's theories lack mathematical proofs, but to argue against them without as much is no better.

What proof do you have Foucault's theories depart from reality?

Hence “likely” - it’s impossible to tell what might happen.

Agree, Whiskey Rebellion at the very least made clear George Washington’s position on the matter; he personally attended to the assault on the rebels.

Obviously would not be easy, but it is possible:

billme··on What Is The Insurrection Act?
The way the US legal system works is if the US Attorney General tells the US President an act is legal, regardless of if it is, until the Supreme Court or Congress act, the President is free to do as the US Attorney General said.

Under the US Constitution, The President is the Commander in Chief of the military, to not follow a direct order would be a likely be a crime for anyone within the military.

Trumps statements counted as a proclamation, if the US Attorney General said they did.

billme··on What Is The Insurrection Act?
Disbanding the existing police force is possible without conflict, though it would require the local government taking action, having a plan, etc.
billme··on What Is The Insurrection Act?
Appears likely Trump’s public statements today were the proclamation, and if it was not, one will be made shortly — after that, it is only matter of time before Trump deploys the military.

Photo in the story, taken late today, is of Trump with the highest-ranking military officer in the US Armed Forces (on the right) - and the US Attorney General (on the left).

Trump intentionally left the White House to force his way through the protesters.

False; Katrina & US border patrol was what officially sparked the call to (publicly) use drones in the US.

CBP has used drones with FAA approval within the US since 2006; which does not included any use prior to 2006 which remains classified.

Point of adding the date to the title is to provide context where relevant as it relates to the present. Generally speaking, goal of HN is to cover substantial new information on a topic - not repeatedly rehash topics. As is, this Wikipedia is not a good fit for HN unless their’s specific substantial new information and the source of that information would be the best URL, not the Wikipedia page.
