I, for one, welcome our new recursive reference system.

Barring changing one's own diet and activity-level? Seems so. Sadly, only one of these options takes 30 seconds and the US is quite the "Now, please" culture. [1]

1: Am an American. I want it now.

As long as it helps get the fluoridated seed oil out of our nation's water supply, he's likely ok with it.

He's in high school and pulls of a project like this. I thought I was slick convincing the 7-11 guy to give me my Twist-a-Pepper soda without charging me bottle deposit or tax.

> I wonder what mitochondria dream about.

ATP sheep.

This is nice, but I prefer the simpler style of hckrnews.com

> VR38DETT tells you everything about the engine.

Yeah, that it's 1.2 liters too big. RB26DETT me please xD

I had a pihole for a while, but found ublock was more reliable. Occasionally the dns routing to 127.0.0.1 would wreck havoc on "Smart" devices, such as firetv etc

It is possible but very hard and dangerous. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Don't forget my favorite weight-loss medicine: tapeworm eggs.

fail2ban is a critical piece of security software, as is some firewall. for those new to linux, you might as well use the one that is super-easy to install.

It can happen in days sometimes.

This is a slippery slope which we can view in real-time looking at the speedrunning community. Many current real person runs are using strategies once thought to be computer-only. A Mario run from 2024 would be viewed as totally impossible in 2004.

The most expensive house in this list is the same as my monthly rent on a 750ft² apartment.

How many more years before we can expect some making? Elon's been running Tesla for quite some time now...

This is how the insurance industry has operated for ages. They can't charge higher rates due to race, so they find ways around it: "credit-based insurance score, geographic location, home ownership, and motor vehicle records" [1]

> You get put on a naughty list.

I don't see it that way. Sounds more like the state is doing free advertising. "Here is the list of schools Junior, who got a 4.0 in their basket-weaving major in high school, has a shot".

And that's telling, isn't it? Even in this space, Intel's iGPUs are totally ignored or dismissed out of hand. I say it's because they have an unending string of broken promises, saying "This'll be the time we get integrated graphics right", over and over. It's never been true, and I for one have totally wiped them from my vision due to that.

This got me a job because I told my now boss, after he described the dutys, "You're looking for a PFY".

Been there 10 years.

I find https://www.dwservice.net/en/home.html serves my needs very well.

I'm saying we should do it for you.

Guess the SSL handshake failed

Was I the only one tricked, bamboozled and hoodwinked into expecting an article about ARM64 vs x64?

I fondly remember the noise my 4201 [1] made as it's 9 pins flew across the form-feed paper at nearly 200 characters per second, in draft mode!

What is the market for this product? I can't see their being enough people who a. have a laptop without a camera/need a better camera b. are willing to lug this thing around and c. are willing to pay $200.

How is web design this bad acceptable? It's insanely slow, annoying to read and impossible to navigate.

I thought so too, and believed it so much I didn't check the detailed specs of my OnePlus 10T.....

I don't know how this is possible, but running the application running take up to 20% of my 5900x and pulls 110W. My 3090 hits 60% utilization and draws 220W. That's the same if I turn on "crunch cancellation" or off.

seconded. Primocache is wonderful, and doesn't suffer from the glaring issue using the powershell hack of Windows Storage Spaces [1]. You can set this up, with proper powershell scripts/commands, but Xbox games won't install to a Storage Space. It boggled my mind when I finally tracked this down.

Primo Cache [2] has one disadvantage over storage spaces - the SSD cache space is dedicated as Cache, and does not add to the total space of the drive. 1TB SSD + 4TB hdd = 4TB available, vs storage spaces which will give you 5TB. This minor (to me) downside is outweighed by the fact it works for everything. It shows up as a normal drive, not a virtual disk, and it just works. I recommend it highly for anyone who has limited SSD space.
