connect reset to ground and try like that
bepvte··on Please don’t theme our apps
Did you read the original post? Its about distributions providing themes, not users who tweak their desktops.
bepvte··on Tor Browser 8.5
For one, openvpn can use udp unlike ssh, which means the annoying overhead of double tcp is gone
bepvte··on Tor Browser 8.5
I believe thats just the definition for deep web.
bepvte··on Firefox 67.0 Released
Previously installed extensions before this update will not be disabled automatically, only new ones
bepvte··on How I Run a Company with ADHD
The "bit like bipolar part" might be a thing called emotional hyperarousal thats common with adhd, if you ever need its name to google
bepvte··on Google Fights Back
Oh, and they dont support PGP with non protonmail users, locking you into their proprietary junk.
bepvte··on Google Fights Back
Protonmail advertises special end to end encryption thats only available when sending emails to other protonmail users. Others get the standard TLS that every provider uses. Recently they added a feature convert emails a link to a page that asks the non-protonmail user for a password (not a private key or login) and then decrypts the email in the browser, which I find pretty worthless.
bepvte··on Google Fights Back
This is definitely a sneaky twisting of words in my opinion. Maybe they mean the size of the js that powers the app, or something along the size. Even simple dictionaries on my phone are never less then 500kb.
bepvte··on Google Fights Back
There is no privacy cabal that you sarcastically suggest, but there is a lot of money to be made out of paranoia, justified or not. Protonmails worthless encryption, the dubiously safe vpn ads I see everywhere. I tend to see a lot of exaggerations from some privacy oriented companies. I still trust those companies far more, and a sizable portion doesnt try to spread fear and exaggeration, though, but I do believe that a lot of companies are trying to make a ton of money off of paranoia they help create.
bepvte··on V8: A Year with Spectre
Technically, the phrase victim blaming fits this sentence, but I feel like this context is not its intended or commonly accepted use
bepvte··on Python overtakes JavaScript as most questioned language on StackOverflow
Not saying anything about the parent comment, but the method of studying a large population by using a sample size is pretty common and time tested.
bepvte··on Mozilla WebThings
Exactly. Theres plenty of documentation to be written and translating to be done
bepvte··on Canada Group Sues Government over Google's Sidewalk Labs
Don't want to get into a political debate, but this is a lot of the principles of modern anarchism (sometimes called "AnCom"). I am unsure of the feasability of such a society, but it is interesting to read about theories and ideas if anyone wants to learn more.
bepvte··on Zircon Fair Scheduler
Oh gosh well thank you for pointing that out
bepvte··on Zircon Fair Scheduler
https://cchalpha.blogspot.com/2019/03/bmq-scheduler-call-out...

Someone made a scheduler on linux based on some of the ideas here. Its included in the postfactum (linux-pf) patch set i believe, which might have packages for your distro.

JS canvas has a great and very basic api, and golangs image packages let you set pixels pretty well too
bepvte··on French ISPs Ordered to Block Sci-Hub and LibGen
I think theyre suggesting hashing all of libgen and distributing and working backwards from that hash, as a joke

bepvte··on Pale Moon Browser Continues Support and Development of XUL
Looks like I didnt finish the sentence either :(. I meant to say that getting rid of these dumb and broad labels might lead to some progress and compromise and understand.
bepvte··on Pale Moon Browser Continues Support and Development of XUL
This is how you define the SJW movement, while I just consider it a group of people who want to make it socially unacceptable to call people like me slurs. Maybe if we stop grouping people in these broad and vague ways, like for example some particularly person labelling you a 'nazi', or 'racist' or beliefs no where near what that label entails, because you happen to have an opinion shared with someone who is actually a nazi. (This sentence was hard to write and maybe even harder for people to read, so I just want to make clear that I am not calling you or your beliefs 'nazi' or 'racist')
bepvte··on Pale Moon Browser Continues Support and Development of XUL
I think its a movement that encompasses everyone who believes in respecting everyone despite their identity, and is led specifically by those who publically make embarrassing mistakes or get angry in a way that is easy to villainize or make fun of.
bepvte··on Pale Moon Browser Continues Support and Development of XUL
Pale moon forums is full of conspiracy theories on how Mozilla has been taken over by "SJWS." That, along with the horrible temper of the author, really discourages me from using or trusting it.
bepvte··on How Discord Went Mainstream
I use the browser version and the stylus browser extension to set the font to Roboto and make the text actually pass the chrome inspectors accessibility guidelines
bepvte··on Google Hardware makes cuts to laptop and tablet development, cancels products
I really loved the design of the pixelbook, but I just didnt see who would be interested in it. When I buy a 1,000$ machine i dont go for that kind of OS and it just didnt stand out very much. I wish the best to those who worked on these.
