bensonn··on 72% of Consumers Don't Know What Net Neutrality Is
I don't know what "Net Neutrality" is. I have looked and tried to find out. My best guess is that Net Neutrailty is a badly named concept that emcompasses lots of different things to different people. Maybe it means control of The Internet, or equal speeds for all sites? Besides squishy feelings is there a concrete meaning?

From what I can gather the FCC changed some things which might allow groups to do things which may end up worse for end users, at least for a while. Before the FCC "repealed" it, was there a single bill/rule/law called Net Neutrality?

No sarcasm in this question, just pure ignorance- what EXACTLY is Net Neutrailty?

bensonn··on Ask HN: What advice would you give your 18 year old self?
Be who you want to be. At 18 I thought I could do what I wanted and eventually morph into a person that had qualities I valued.

You won't magically turn into who you want to be. If you want to be a hard working person then start working hard. If you want to be an independent person stop depending on others. If you want to be a nice person then start being kind and empathetic towards others. You have to BE, right now and in the present, who you want to become.

So simple and self evident but I didn't figure it out until my mid-late 20s.

I would second the never start drinking and stop doing drugs advise but pretty sure 18 year old me would never listen to that advice.

bensonn··on Email reveals Clinton worked with Google CEOs to keep Benghazi video blocked
"The President of the United States of America can personally call" I think Barrack Obama can make a personal call but The President of the US can't.

When an email comes from @state.gov with the description of "U.S. Department of State SUBJECT TO AGREEMENT ON SENSITIVE INFORMATION & REDACTIONS." I don't think it can be considered Hillary making a personal request.

Ironically this might have been a very appropriate use of Clinton mail.
