Marketing/Sales - PHP developer - Front end Web developer

We're looking for a Marketing Strategist / Sales Person to fill out our team. We've got big ideas and lots of organic interest. We'll be seeking funding in january. But for now there is pretty big potential for commission based work for larger projects (see 'mashable wall'). + ownership opportunity.

php and front end web developers, please be in contact!

benjaminlotan··on ALWAYS LAUNCH ON FRIDAY recounting my launch last week
this was my first post-launch blog post about printingfacebook... It's short and i dont know if people will agree, but i thought i would submit it here and see if anyone else has comments about launching... or advice. :-)
benjaminlotan··on Launching TODAY (with one humble product)
good call. If i plan on using ads on facebook i wont use the term printingfacebook... thanks!

I love this comment in particular. A) my girl friend has been telling me the same thing. B) Relates to me as an artist and brings up all these aesthetic questions, about the audience vs. artist autonomy etc etc. already this project has been interesting in terms of revealing myself as an 'entrepreneur' to some artist friends... (the idea of selling out etc) .... that said. I didnt have a good camera on me, and wanted to get the site up ASAP... I'll be reshooting soon with an SLR and my other artist friend... who is actually a photographer and not a performance artist like me. :-) thanks for the comment. cheers.

my shipping policy actually has to do with the printer i am working with, he only ships to the lower 48. That said, this is powerful input. My plan is that if i start getting enough orders and interest from abroad i will be able to convince the printer to ship international. Thanks for providing the info, I really appreciate it.

good call! do you know about putting out a press release? also let me know if you think of any more anti-facebook blogs. Thanks for the input :)

great ideas, thanks for the feedback :-) The next product i'm working on is a yearbook style book of friends with names underneath photos and (similar to what you mentioned) the ability to choose a few of your friends, and print a poster of the photos you are tagged in together... targeting corporations, or even small businesses seems a bit difficult, but its good to think of this angle.
benjaminlotan··on Launching TODAY (with one humble product)
good idea, i'll figure out a way to make that clear earlier on in the process.

thanks!, in terms of the branding issues w/ facebook, i could see that, but if i ever got big enough to have problems... i think i would be happy. I guess i chose the name for SEO, but when i start offering print services for other networks, i'll rebrand under a more unique name.

yeah, Shipping internationally seems like a whole new set of complications, maybe sometime in the future. Thanks for the encouragement. It feels great to get yours as the first comment. :-)

i want something like this. :-)
benjaminlotan··on Reflecting on 3 Years At Facebook
For me this was the first (real/substantial?) blog post i've read on Facebook. Just throwing that out there.
benjaminlotan··on Ask HN: Looking for help (Co-Founders)
looks good so far. I registered, and i;m looking forward to updates via email as you progress. I think an about page with info explaining what your goals are and how you want people to interact with the site this far, or what type of feedback you are looking for would be good. I just tried to confirm my account via email and "ActiveRecord::StatementInvalid in ConfirmationsController#show' was returned. :-( also small side note, why 6 char minimum on passwords? tumblr only requires 5, just to throw that out there.
benjaminlotan··on Ask HN: Help test my app Launchset.com
really awesome. I;m excited to hear about the project as it moves forward. I've registered already, but if you have an email list you update more frequently, please add me, benjaminlotan@gmail.com good luck!

I like the idea. The site seems most beneficial as a way to discover new projects, under the radar etc. When you browse projects you should see the descriptions along with the titles. I think that could be more important than the tags. Also should have a simple way when you enter a project to denote the status. Is it still in the early phase or getting ready to launch. another issue is, would the projects stay there after launch? How long after. It could get cluttered with a bunch of 'established' start-ups as well as half-done neglected projects from years ago. -could be a way other than following to "rate up" a project... like a thumbs up or whatever. so you can have some kind of hotlist.

also i imagine it could be a platform for finding collaborators/co-founders. So one part of posting a project could be to note whether you are looking for other people to help etc.

anyway. keep up the good work, let me know if you want some more feedback anytime :-)
