benholmen··on Amazon Digital Markup: 129,000%
I'm curious if anyone has experimented with educating potential customers about the fees associated with each delivery option. For example:

1. Buy on Amazon.com for $9.99 (I earn $5.10)

2. Buy on iBooks for $9.99 (I earn $7.00)

3. Buy a PDF for $9.99 (I earn $9.25)

If I felt any connection or goodwill toward the author (highly likely) I would be inclined to pick the best option for me _and_ the author.

I use Keepass daily on Windows and Ubuntu and used it on OS X in the past without any issues. I highly recommend it.
benholmen··on Show HN: HTML5 clone of the classic Snake game, works on mobile too
I had a few issues with the game.

* On Chrome/Ubuntu 12.04, the game wouldn't load and crashed that browser process entirely.

* On Chrome/Win7, the body is too large for the browser window. Looks like you need to tweak your CSS.

This brought back memories of DOS and my old Nokia brick phone from decades ago...thanks!

Another interesting word is 'log' which we use daily in a digital sense but it has a very physical nautical origin:

log: "from log (n.1) which is so called because a wooden float at the end of a line was cast out to measure a ship's speed. General sense by 1913."

benholmen··on Fun with fonts. Rendering obfuscated HTML.
Why would a lyric site want to obfuscate lyrics in the source code? It seems like that'd be counterproductive since their traffic is largely driven by search engines.

No.

Find something interesting to work on while you're in school. You'll gain experience and have something to talk about in job interviews.
