bagol··on Babel is used by millions, so why are we running out of money?
> For now, Nicolò, Henry, and Jùnliàng will all be paid a temporary rate of $6,000 per month.

Am I reading correctly? 6K USD per month for a single developer? With that amount of salary, you could build a house within 3 months in my place.

bagol··on Migrating to SQLAlchemy 2.0
Because you won't use raw SQL on any serious project forever. You'll end up building an ORM yourself or at least a query builder.
bagol··on Ask HN: Predictions for 2021?
It means there will be one single dominant Linux Desktop Environment.
bagol··on Generate Go model from database design
I think it's. Usually, compiler generates each concrete implementation for generic. But in go, that's programmer's job. Maybe it's trade off for language's simplicity.
bagol··on Making Emacs Popular Again
Out of curiosity, what is software about to you and how does elisp teach you?

bagol··on How HTTPS works – Explained in layman terms
Yeah. My ISP is doing exactly that. HTML pages over HTTP are injected with some javascript code. Sadly, it's the only ISP available in the entire country.
bagol··on JavaScript Errors: An Exceptional History
I feel bad for javascript for it always blamed for the fault of the environment where it lives.

bagol··on Show HN: pgcmd – An alternative to psql with JSON output
Use --tuples-only / -t and --no-align / -A. Or -tA for short.

For example:

$ psql dbname -tAc 'SELECT json_agg(some_table) FROM some_table'
That will produce a valid JSON if you ever need to pipe it to another command. And I'm sure, psql will do the job a lot faster than node.

By the way, you should not underestimate the built-in psql power and postgresql's json capability. Postgresql's JSON power rivals that of other JSON based No-SQL databases.

bagol··on Show HN: pgcmd – An alternative to psql with JSON output
psql with right query and right flag can do that.
bagol··on Linux distros without systemd
I'm interested in which points you disagree, because I, in the opposite, agree with almost everything the guy said.
bagol··on Common mistakes in PostgreSQL
Why?
bagol··on Lvalues, rvalues, glvalues, prvalues, xvalues, help (2018)
Is this concept of lvalues, rvalues, glvalues, prvalues and xvalues only exists in C++?
bagol··on Coder (Visual Studio Code in browser) goes open source
Is it true? I don't recall github ever asking for a phone number when logging in
bagol··on Sqlfmt: an opinionated online SQL formatter

bagol··on Ask HN: What websites do you check each morning?
1. Google

2. HN

bagol··on Microsoft acquires Github
No ... I can't believe something like this is happening ...
bagol··on Ten Years of Vim
Did you mean, "It's hard to quit from using vim once you get accustomed to it."? :)
bagol··on Hapi.js – v17
What about home page?
bagol··on Show HN: Server.js – A modern Express alternative
It's very interesting watching both of your comments XD
bagol··on Vim Anti-Patterns
My favorite is mapping '()' to 'vi)', '[]' to 'vi]', '{}' to 'vi}'. So I can read is as "grab parentheses" instead of "visual inside parentheses"
