oof, that's a big price increase.
Preact's compatibility layer is good but not perfect - some UI libraries rely on React's internal implementation which breaks with Preact. I think people can and should chose Preact for when they know what third party dependencies they will rely on, and for situations like this where it's a fairly trivial single page app.
function increment() {
count += 1;
dispatchEvent(new CustomEvent(
"count-incremented",
{ detail: { count } }
));
}
I think I prefer not having to manage events all over the place.I thought I could recall some post/article where Rich Hickey said something positive about React but I can't find it. Maybe I made it up in my head idk.
But normally I'll use the drill even though it's overkill, because I got other stuff to do :P
Is it simple though? From my experience, apps written with "sprinkles" tend to become very complex very quickly. Unless the author means something else by "complexity".
I do like the idea of macros in general though.
if err !== nil {
return err
}I doubt it's about thinking speed. At times I've thought I was fundamentally deficient in some way, only to realize later that I was catastrophising about a poor performance in something and generalizing that across my entire life.
There is also a lot of variation in our abilities, mostly due to practice. When I've holed myself up in my room working for weeks I lose the ability to socialize in general, let alone make witty comebacks. But once I'm in a social environment for a while I can banter with anybody.
So assuming someone is friendly even if they aren't is a better strategy than assuming everyone dislikes you.
