I guess the answer is yes, but only if facebook cares, which I guess they don't.
Theoretically, it is possible to triangulate the jamming signal by pinging cell phones and finding which ones aren't in the dark, mapping it to find the guy but it could take hours and the damage would have already been done.
oh, and sales of jammers have been going on for years on craigslist, I'm surprised they've just shut it down this year.
But really, why email their number when you can just message them for their email (or using gvoice or something similar)?
So my point is that for internet and wireless phone service it's really a hit or miss depending on where you are. Except that AT&T's wireless service really does suck when compared to the other big gsm service, Tmobile, which is almost on par with Verizon in most populated areas. My friends and I would speedtest whenever we go different areas, he uses verizon, and I use tmobile. Sometimes I win, sometimes he wins. Then there was always this poor guy with AT&T wireless with his S3 and he would always cry about how much it sucked.
When you're unemployed, you find yourself with a lot of freetime, and hence, a lot of time to waste. If you have the financial means and are physically capable start traveling. between now and october is one of the peak seasons for cheap airline tickets to just about anywhere, if you don't know where to go, hover over to http://www.reddit.com/r/earthporn (SFW btw, not that you have one now, haha, j/ks) and start browsing. Get some friends (or just go by yourself) and just go. My favorite is Zion National Park. I find that under the starlit sky, without lights or cell reception I find it relaxing and then you'll be able to think about why you got laid off, what you liked or didn't like about your previous job and what you could have possibly done in the past to prevent yourself from getting fired.
The most important thing is to just keep moving, rewrite your resume, watch some comedies, reconnect with your family and friends and possibly, make new ones, make a schedule and pack it with so many things to do that you're tired each and every night starting from today. I could go on, but I hope you get it. The second most important thing to do is to not get angry and take it out on your friends and family, what happened to you is truly unfortunate, but getting mad doesn't really help anyone.
So peace out, and I hope to see you in the future at another job kicking ass at what you do best.
btw, unemployment benefits are okay, but b/c the economy is bad, plan for the long-term, like cancelling your monthly bills, aka netflix (you don't got time for that shit anyways), etc.
Think that with a discount, US$18,000 should be sufficient to cover all my time related costs, fixing ALL code instances, for ALL the aforestated reasons..."
Then he adds:
"Thanks a bunch for being SO HELPFUL !!!"
Also, $18,000/$247.00/hour comes out to about 72 hours.
His first post was on 2012-06-17 21:06:44 PDT and his last post was on 2012-06-19 23:11:22 PDT, so it's only been ~50 hrs since he posted it until he asked for the money.
I also have my important passwords for which I use a combination of letters, numbers and special characters which consists of my base password. I then add another string to the end such as a word or zip code, which I rotate every 2-3 weeks depending on where I login and whether or not I feel that connection is secure.
Haven't gotten hacked, yet... we'll see.
but apparently someone said its a repeat, and a fake, and yet offers no explanation why. Do you know why?
With a VC, its simpler, if the start-up has a good idea with a good plan to execute, then the risk is only money. If the start-up does well, both of them make money. But if the startup screws up, then you lose your investment, and move and invest in other companies. It's different with hiring a VP. If you're a VP and you do well, you help the company grow. But, if you screw up, you've just ruined your company and its employees' which could potentially affect tens or hundreds of your subordinates' futures AND especially their families, and with some screw ups, you can't even use money to fix it.
If you can't distinguish between those two things, then you're going to be a crappy vp if you ever make it.
Last year, I tried upgrading my phone, but they said it would cost me $200-$300 to get a decent android upgrade, so I went on craiglist and bought a G2 and a Mytouch 3g slide as my backup/music/video player for a total of $225, they had scuffs on the side, but overall were in fine conditions. I also had a G1 that i used to learn about rooting, so after i got the G2 i rooted that in 20 minutes by downloading the 1-step root app, downloading cyanogenmod 7, and flashing it to cm7.
If you want help buying a phone via craiglist, pm me.
prey is pretty damn helpful, and i install it on everything i've got.
btw i dont work for them, and i've never seen them advertise anywhere, but this would be good advertisement...
Furthermore, yes my business idea is easily replicable, but my knowledge and expertise in my field makes me better than others. Say, if i was in the "ice cream" business, well, anyone can make "ice cream", but i use the best damn "ingredients" while selling my "ice cream" at a higher, yet reasonable price for the increase in quality. Now, that would be a reason why others would want to acquire me, even more so if I had a patent on my "ice cream" making ideas.
one reason some may not want to post would be bc they are startups and they dont want others to copy their business. i am in such a business and it would hurt me greatly if others started doing what i do and lose my "monopoly". In addition, it would increase the chances of a decrease in valuation should someone wish to acquire the company.
