My point is that picking false equivalencies and anecdotal evidence doesn't work, in both directions.
Lottie is open source, it's been spun off from Airbnb (https://medium.com/airbnb-engineering/continuing-our-support...), and while I agree that the questions at the end of your post are valid, I don't think putting more "about them" is how to answer them - afaik where your 'data' is going has nothing to do with where the founders worked/lived.
I am quite okay with the planned API costs, timeline, and communication. How were you affected by the changes? I read the Apollo guy's posts, but the reality is that he had built a very, very profitable business serving Reddit's content to the masses.
Twitter is charging for their API, Reddit is charging for their API, and people don't like change. I'm not sure where I've had "sarcasm or the presumption of stupidity" but that was certainly a strange section to add to your comment.
So, clearly someone likes the Reddit app, right? Those millions of 5 star reviews are definitely not fake/bought.
The "Lemmy" thing is even worse; a complete mess. For example, /r/aww has two different links, with different content, etc. And yes, I understand how the "fediverse" works, it just makes no sense in the context that most consumers want their media in.
Figma is new.

I ran a design agency 6 years ago and we used the official Apple Resources. The Teehan+Lax stuff and designers making it themselves was all pre-flat design, during the skeuomorphic age. Joey's stuff is because they didn't have the iOS13-16 resources for Figma.
Years of policies that hurt honest people, entrenched landlords and those already here, and made it difficult for new families and groups to come to the city are why the good times are ending. People like Peskin burst the bubble.
What gives you your understanding? Mine is from multiple sources at the top of Google for the query "price of tunnel versus price of bridge"
