We recently made the decision as a SaaS company to switch from a subscription management platform I won't name to Stripe. The process has not been without a couple bumps along the way, but frankly working with Stripe is similar to that scene from Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers when Gandalf tells Theoden to "Breathe the free air again, my friend."

Please continue to do what you're doing in this space. Payments are such a complex beast and it's refreshing to work with a company that works so hard to abstract that complexity.

Our team recently started using Notion for similar reasons. We all heavily use Google Doc’s but sending a link to a read-only or comment enabled doc gets messy for discussion very quickly.

Notion enables you to embed any number of Google docs along with other media: screen captures, screenshots, etc.

The trick is creating a documented process to moderate the discussion.

Jury is still out on long term viability as a tool, but we’re super happy with it so far.

Eh, I'm not sure about that. I drive a Silverado. It's a family thing; I started driving one when I was 16. I put down $100 tonight. I'm not 100% sold, but I actually like that it's different.

I believe an argument could have been made that it was the right call if they had publicized it. Seeing as how it was implemented in the background, I am less inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Thank you for fighting the good fight. This sort of nonsense is exactly the type of thing that needs to be reported far and wide. People need to understand that for all of Facebook’s PR dollars, they are still the same company as they were a few years ago.

Why not open it to a free trial? I’d like to try it out as well. I don’t like the whole refund song & dance game.

I'm also a big believer of self-development strategies / tricks. However, I don't think it's necessarily the acts themselves that are so life changing but rather the mindset that you're going to do whatever it takes to be better is what's so powerful.

That's the #1 reason that I don't currently consider it in the same class as React Native. Once Google showcases how they're using it in business critical apps, then I think I'll have the confidence it won't be another project that gets the axe.
