Diagnosis is not the same as underlying physiological cause. The Browns or Vanderbilt assessments are useful for identifying the disorder because the symptoms are stereotypical.

Correct. fMRI studies show stark prefrontal activation differences between ADHD and neurotypical brains. I have run fMRI studies for air traffic controllers, who have the opposite experience from ADHD. Very high working memory and processing speed.
This!!!
ADHD is unfortunately named based on misunderstanding of the prefrontal cortex. It is executive function disorder. Similar behaviors occur from prefrontal cortex trauma. Barkley notes that ADHD stays so named because it is tied legally to entitlements.
Unfortunately genuine ADHD is a physiological problem that requires stimulant therapy _and_ cognitive behavior therapy in conjunction. Your dopamine and/or acetylcholine receptors are out of whack. This is why coffee and cigarettes/vapes are so prevalent. Methylphenidate or dexamphetamine work best but you pay a price. Yes, I have real world executive function research lab experience, so I know a bit of what I'm talking about. You need a good neurologist.
You need to have a note capable phone like a galaxy 23 ultra. You also need a smart watch so you don't turn off your reminders in meetings and to forget to turn back on. Redmine and or jira are your friends. Make a list of all expectations and star the ones that are action items. Ironclad once a day go through the list and either complete or transfer into a task tracking system each starred item and then check it off--don't use the list to manage tasks. If you manage others, do the same and set follow up events for you. Never silence, only snooze alarms unless completed. Set annoying alarms or block out time for heads down work to avoid time blindness for when you hyperfocus. Your Ventromedial prefrontal cortex is not functioning correctly and consequently your planning system needs a wheelchair.
We have free will; it is just very expensive, as it should be. Decisions get made 500ms before we are aware of them, and overriding those decisions causes stress.
Yes. There will be all kinds of matches while using the free version which will require the paid version to view. Once paid, the matches will disappear and slow down, but this time, with AI, the fake--did I say that out loud--matches will seem more realisric.
It's important to properly diagnose ADHD because it shares symptoms with several other diseases. ADHD is primarily a prefrontal cortex issue due to faulty dopamine genetics. Any regulation of executive function is fair game with the disease. This includes task initiation, task salience, future planning, emotional regulation. Attention is really a poor designation, but the disease has been given the imprimatur by the government as a severely life limiting disorder, so name changes are out of the question. Without stimulant medication and cognitive behavioral therapy, the outlook is dim. Get tested and find a treatment regimen with your GP who should be able to coordinate it.
Airspace Adaptation, or the catalog of different items in the old ATC system, is nightmarishly complex. It allows for insane FPs that are just not suited for straight forward computation. Canada and Mexico also share fix names with US. From a math and physics perspective, the language of flight plans is degenerate and, I think, doesn't even hold group structure. It's the reason that humans are still required even though MIT's JEDI did a bang up job of conflict resolution, or keeping planes from giving each other hugs. on the nose. At 300 miles per hour.
I've literally chased this kind of bug down in our ATC simulation tool. People don't think Adaptation be like it is, but it do. Just wait till they hear of context dependent fixes with the same name. I.E. airport, airway, fix, all named 'BUD'. This stuff was written when airplanes were bicycles with handmade motors and canvas covered wings.
