why is this on HN tho?

I suppose it could be Mail, Spotify, iCloud, or anything really. But if its happening on all the new M1 macs, what do you think the common denominator is?

I purchased my M1 on Feb 16... haven't used her all that much since i have a 16" Pro for work. Does this look bad?

Hello telegram!

Slack will add the calling capabilities of Zoom and Zoom will need to add the chat system of slack.

> I solve this particular problem by only ever updating my os long after the problems have been ironed out. Apple are notorius for beta testing on users and frankly I think it's crazy to update your main machine this early in the cycle.

Exactly. Mac has become windows in this sense. Updates aren’t safe and users must stay a few versions behind.

Who's gonna pick up Zapier??

FWIW, the GMail imap interface in Apple Mail is still working alright for me. Can confirm the gmail web interface is completely borked.

A feature rich google group? Awesome!

In big cities like SF and NYC a majority of people are on the summer lease cycle. Every summer you either have to renew the same tired old place for a 2-5% increase, or you jump to a new landlord and spend promotion/bonus/raise in a modern new building.

The past 2 months the streets in my NYC neighborhood have been littered with moving vans and my floor has all but emptied out.

Can anyone tell me why this was not previously possible? Both latency and speed? What did Starlink do differently

Big question for the room - are current taxi drivers W2 or 1099?

Anyone remember forums? I have been floating the idea in my org that forums are so much better than slack/discord, and we have regressed in our communication abilities.

Topics. Sub forums. View unread, link to posts, quoting, attachments. Voting. Reply by email. So many great things came from forums.

How come all the best tweets get deleted? C’mon

Twitter is the defacto location to contact most businesses these days when you can’t get a hold of someone easily.

The only open source software better than Haproxy is redis IMHO.

My NYC lease got renewed in Feb just before all of this.

If I was on the summer cycle I’d be moving to the burbs.

Edit: landlord said they’d consider letting me out for 2-3 months of rent paid as a fee. That’s 7-10k.

You’re correct in 99% of cases. Somehow gas stations can advertise different prices for cash.

Sorry guy. I didn’t have time to watch during work and dont feeling like reading through a verge article

Will adobe products still work?

Can’t you just use a simple tracking pixel?

Does google have enhanced Bluetooth tech like Apples W1 chip?

Maybe it should be easier to do npm install latest-1

not a website, but the old battle.net, and irc in general
