Thanks for the lectures, I'll look through it, I've started to watch their lecture form Jurafsky and Manning that is available on yt.

Currently It's mostly about topic/category recognition in articles and the other part are entities, how to do entity linking and the entities relevance for the articles.

Maybe later on I'll have to look for synonyms (wordNet and word embeddings can be useful for this), but this is something for the future.

At my first real job I was working for the CTO I basically just developed internal tools. The goal was to improve the workflows. So I guess an engineer working for the CTO work to improve the workflow.

On kind of a related note, I've recently read "Surely you're joking mr. Feynman" it's a funny and engaging book. It's really amazing what he was able to learn.

How did you start did you buy the servers or are you just using one of the cloud providers and "whitelabel" them?

I've meditated for the last 3 months. I've realized I'm much calmer around generally and can concentrate better on just one thing. I have a calendar on an A4 paper printed out and cross out each day when I meditate.

Do you support any type of debugging in foxx, can I somehow set breakpoints and inspect the state?

We're currently using Arango and it gets tedious to call foxx-manager replace every time I'm doing a change on the db

I was also thinking ML is a dark art and only a few selected ones are able to understand it, but then I started to look more into it took the coursera ML course and now I'm working trough some other lectures and it's easier than I imagined. Like you said, you just need to start working with it.

What kind of projects did you create? I've looked at their site but can't see anything concrete.

I've currently finished Andrew Ng's course on machine learning, this worked for me:

1. Set a clear goal, e.g "By the end of September I want to work through the course solve all the exercises".

2. Tell another friend what I'm doing and make a bet, every time I don't finish the weeks assignments in time I'll pay 50€.

3. Plan the evening before at what time I'm going to sit down and do this course.

I'm actually working on something simmiliar with a friend of mine, you send us a link of an article you don't want to read because it's to long and we summarize it for you in 3 sentences.

What happens if after 2-3 weeks of consulting you don't find any "high impact" issue? Are your customer angry, happy?

Stupid question, how does a security audit work? Do the consultants just read through the code? Do they try to find security bug like they do on bug bounty programs?

Most of the advice I read about always says to solve your own problems, so it's really interesting to see somebody with a different approach.

Are you just paying attention to trends in your area of expertise or are you following trends in multiple areas, how do you keep up with them.

Maybe you can tell more about your previous Saas products, because I'm really interested in your approach.

How are you getting and validating your ideas? Are you just trying to scratch your own itch?

I'm not actively following the project, but can't you just install it with VirtualBox?

My page is hosted on github, you can just host HTML and JS files. You need to get a domain and configure your repo to use this domain. It isn't obvious that your page is hosted on github.

I'm using jekyll as my static page builder.
