I think the real fact here is that whatever Israel does, no matter how wicked and evil or what the evidence shows, you get downvoted to oblivion for stating the facts because they speak against the actions of Israel. Hackernews seems like a slightly more civilized version of reddit, but when it comes to politics, the insane bias shines through.
As a person who visited SA I know for a fact that even among muslims who have homosexual inclinations, that it's not a problem unless one acts upon it or tries to 'propagate' against the established and accepted moral foundations. Not sure about the specifics of the visit rules tho, but I doubt that they would ask you about that, instead they would ask you about your religion.
Interesting thought. I agree, this kind of reasoning seems to be the flip side of the same coin. Meaning every opinion that differs from the 'mainstream' or even from what mighty Google considers to be morally or ethically wrong can be just cleverly labeled in a manner that allows them to redirect an individual to what Google thinks is right. 'Follow our politics and our opinions' - And who would be able to control if Google is abiding by the rules, when there are like billions of such difficult decisions to be made on a daily basis?
Total noob here, is this type of treatment going in the direction of something like in the movie gattaca? Would gene editing also help fully grown adults?
