Never thought about binding React Dev tools on Facebook and watch the DOM updates. Quite fun!

This is great idea. I always had other way to keep my learnings at a single place, for which I have used Anki tool. At times, down the line I open my Anki tool and see those flash cards on how much I really remember. This was very fun to me and also at the same time very good learning.

Your absolutely right. When I started learning about Angular / React these starter kits are scary! I used to checkout and run `npm install`, it does install say at least 50MB of modules, which I don't even have clue on them.

Then myself slowly started with damn simple project only with Angular dep and then slowly move upwards as required. That was indeed gave a good learning.

The above statement does hold true for starter kits, not only Angular.

I used react-redux combo. Thats it. They both themselves are good enough for my project to get started.

If anyone is new to both frameworks Angular 2 or React; I would prefer React. I have learned React in a day. I can use my existing knowledge of js in React (for, if etc), whereas in angular learning those directives is still a pain (in Angular 2 as well).

I love the fact how each component in React can be composed! Its just beauty!

Right. Even in normal js world, I have seen people using + for converting their types to Number.

Rightly said. I use HN to keep me update-to-date. I do spend and read HN articles comments more than article itself, to get a view on how other people thinks. Its proven to be very valuable to me.

I'm from India, however I can't say that its cultural matter of never questioning. Probably we can put up the statement in other way "depends on the culture being followed in office".

Anki is an great tool. I used to read javascript Coercion algorithm from JS Specs using this little tool. It have immensely helped me to remember almost everything!

This is a very noob question. I started with React. Its just great. While I was working on the "component" thinking, I just thought react does provides "states" concept in which we can store the component's state. Which is ( for me ) looks like React does provides the model too (what I'm thinking right now is setState as a model and render as view of React lib). Probably my thought process is wrong over here. Am I wrong here?

But if one can store the component state in React setState, why one should look for "Redux" or any Flux libs?

Yeah, I have read that too. That is one of the best sites that I have ever came across explains so neat the FP concepts like Monad and other stuffs.

Since you said 'both', can you elaborate on another point ( apart from the fact angular 2 gonna change angular 1 versions )? That might be helpful for us.

It means "gradually refactor and gradually pack code in React/Angular components".

The code is in "somewhat" good state. Few components we have followed MVC using vanilla js; where as few components still remain the same ( as ugly looking code )
