This feels like expanding just for the sake of expanding. They should focus on what they're good at, which is making games. It doesn't take a large company to develop games like angry birds.
In this case, the loop will outperform recursion because of all of the slice calls in the recursive version.
var arr = (paste)
arr.sort()
for(var i = 0;i<arr.length;i++){if(arr[i+1] == arr[i]){console.log(arr[i])}}
WebM's encoders that are available are very slow, and not supported or has very flaky support of most apps people are using out there.
What's going to happen, is chrome users are going to be served H.264 in a flash wrapper.
This move is not going to help kill flash, it's going to help extend it's life. If you think about it, it is not in googles best interest as an advertising company to kill flash. They'll have more trouble with content protection and are unable to overlay ads in fullscreen mode.
H.264 will play in both flash and the browser. It's a standard codec that is used in most workflows already. On top of that, MPEG-LA has announced it will always be royalty free for video that is free to end users (http://www.macworld.com/article/153692/2010/08/h264_royaltie...).
There's no reason for Firefox and Opera to not pick up H.264. It is the only choice that makes sense if HTML5 video is going to take off, and they are holding the web back. Thumbs up to Microsoft for actually trying to push us forward this time.
Make some more prominent links, and it'd be great if you had a sidebar with an image of the product and a short description of what it was.
3.2.2 is the most current public iPad release.
EDIT: Just saw it was raquo that said his was iPad only, sorry.
If you just open the floodgates without calculating how much you can afford to lose, it's not Groupons fault, it's your own. Even a layman should be able to understand that you're going to take a loss in the short term, so don't allow yourself to take a bigger loss than you can afford.
She even makes it clear in her facebook post that this is entirely her fault:
"...I hung up and thought it over. I called him back and said we would have to get at least 50% to cover our costs of product… to this day I don’t know why I thought even 50% would be a good deal for us. Maybe because I thought since we were covering our food costs. What I didn’t think clearly enough about was that that margin we mark up is what covers all of our other costs… like staff, rent, utilities, etc. Our overhead is roughly $25,000/month, and this decision was about to make it so that we didn’t cover any of those other costs."
Adobe's not helping themselves by being so openly hostile towards Mac sites. Not sure why they would post anything like that in a company blog.
