amitport··on Persuasion methods for engineering managers
What is the point of knowing the right thing to do if you fail to persuade peers, reports, and leaders?
amitport··on Egyptologist uncovers hidden messages on Paris’s iconic obelisk
easy, never give away or sell ancient artifacts. Would you be fine with people conquering rome, and selling it all stone by stone? Would you be OK with some Italian dictator doing it?
amitport··on Egyptologist uncovers hidden messages on Paris’s iconic obelisk
If you know who it belongs to, sure.
amitport··on Egyptologist uncovers hidden messages on Paris’s iconic obelisk
How do you know? It was not free. The people certainly were not free.
amitport··on Egyptologist uncovers hidden messages on Paris’s iconic obelisk
Ottoman did not make the gift they gave to France. A democracy should not accept a tyrant giving a ancient gift from it "people"
amitport··on Egyptologist uncovers hidden messages on Paris’s iconic obelisk
the ruler was maybe somewhat independent, the nation was not.

Romans also considered Herolds to be a just ruler of an "free" Judea as far as they are conceres. That's how often subjugation works.

amitport··on Egyptologist uncovers hidden messages on Paris’s iconic obelisk
They were, Egypt was conquered at the time.

The empires pillaged it and gifted it among themselves.

amitport··on Egyptologist uncovers hidden messages on Paris’s iconic obelisk
Now I'll just be waiting for Italy to return the colleseum stones to Jerusalem. Pretty sure the temple would have been fine, if they would not have destroyed it themeselves.

The "we took it to keep it safe" argument is kinda of weak, and still morally wrong

amitport··on Egyptologist uncovers hidden messages on Paris’s iconic obelisk
In any case, it didn't belong to the Ottomans to give away.

Getting it as gift from a conquering entity, does not make any of it better.

amitport··on Egyptologist uncovers hidden messages on Paris’s iconic obelisk
Egypt was subjugated to the Ottoman Empire at the time.

And even if they had some kind of king/dictator, it is certainly was a decision of a free people.

What antique France monuments did France give away just like that for no reason? Do not take what should not have been offered.

amitport··on I've Worked at Google for Decades. I'm Sickened by What It's Doing
Independent thinking is a trait of those who truly matter. Google would greatly benefit if those who believe there is a genocide in Gaza were to leave
amitport··on I've Worked at Google for Decades. I'm Sickened by What It's Doing
You are free to discuss things and even protest, without disrupting others' work or violating company's policies, but if your behavior is harmful for the company, you should be fired. It is really not complicated. Never pay salary to people who are not aligned with your company. Just common-sense business and cyber security.
amitport··on Microsoft fires engineers who protested during company's 50th anniversary
Don't forget it all came to the center stage after a mass butchering at a music festival, few beheadings and some Jewish babies kidnapped. Pretty effective! What is a little terrorism for a greater good! /S
amitport··on Microsoft fires engineers who protested during company's 50th anniversary
Even if they made steps, and were ignored, because management disagrees with them or for whatever reason, they still don't get a pass for disrupting normal business. It is a private company, you can say your opinion, but if you disrupt, you are gone. Very sane and simple.

amitport··on How each pillar of the First Amendment is under attack
"anti-zionism" is not the same objecting Israel's war against hostage holding Gaza.

anti-zionism is being against Jews living in their homeland, promotion of terror against them and pushing for them being ethnically cleansed. Connecting that goal to the aftermath of the genocide attempt by Palestinian and the recent war in 7 fronts to against Israel is most definitely anti-semitism.

amitport··on How each pillar of the First Amendment is under attack
Mein camp is a all book also

She is a Jew. There are much more Muslims running around with connections to other Muslims countries and businessness and you don't go around and calling it the Muslims kabal on every move any Muslim does.

As I said, the fact the your post is not yet flagged is the biggest indicator to the coming collapse. You are an antisemite, despite your lack of understanding of it.

amitport··on How each pillar of the First Amendment is under attack
I sense a lot Jewsphobia from you. Miriam Adelson is an American who happen to be Jewish, and has many many disagreements with the state of Israel. Are you going to classify everyone who does not seek the destruction of Israel as the pro-Israel Zionist lobby?. A bit Freudian of you to associate some Jewish woman some shadow Kabal.

Jewish being targeted is like canary in a mine, never ends well.

amitport··on How each pillar of the First Amendment is under attack
I haven't listed the reasons I am pointing the underlying lack of internal critisism in the democractic party and their supporters.

The democractic party was terrible in regards to many issues many people cared about.

You should stop caring about Trump and care about what people care about.

amitport··on How each pillar of the First Amendment is under attack
"Trump is merely doing what he has been paid to do by pro-Israeli zionist lobby - who apparently were the highest bidders"

The concept of blaming the Jews on everything wrong in one's country is not new, and it never ends well.

amitport··on How each pillar of the First Amendment is under attack
People voted for Trump because the democratic party is THAT bad. Instead of keeping attacking Trump maybe it is time to ponder what is it about the current democratic party that made so many people disapprove of them.
amitport··on How each pillar of the First Amendment is under attack
Well, it didn't start in a vacuum.

amitport··on Google to buy Wiz for $32B
IMHO you are missing something big...

For Google they are worth 32B, they ARE the Google Security business from now on. They don't even have to be profitable themselves, having this aspect working means google get access to additional enterprise clients and in place they weren't previously present.
