"Journalists" are not journalists, and being unable to form an opinion of their own, they are often willing to regurgitate anything their sources tell them without fail.
Zcash has been crashing for a long while, and stealing 20% of the economy outright is a large part of the reason. Yes, it motivates the miscreants, but that does not imply success.
Most especially, assiduously avoid everyone who sells debt to buyback shares. Long value and utility + short leverage and hype.
A whole lot of debt (more than was issued in all of human history before 2008) must destroyed, very very soon. The longer it is delayed, the worse the disruption will be. Already, we are set for the largest wealth transfer in history, when the Boomer's checks start bouncing in earnest.
That they did not wallow in obsolete philosophical tropes saved the film from bathetic anachronism.
Why hold? Because it is going to go up and down a lot, but you don't know when. You have to be holding it when it goes up.
Why up? Because it is the only legitimate digital cash on the planet:
1. Fungible (due to transactional privacy).
2. Non-inflationary but sustainable (due to tail emission comparable to gold supply expansion rates).
3. Scalable (due to adaptive block sizes).
(A) There is no freedom without privacy. (B) Everyone wants to be free. When they figure out (A), we all win.
Why legitimate?
1. Legitimate open source peer-reviewed, mature and trustlessly cryptography.
2. Legitimate altruistic community-driven meritocratic development and project management.
3. No IPO, no pre-mine, no centralization, no corporate control, in short: No rip-off.
I consider XMR to be the most important enabler of human dignity and liberty in the history of technology.
Nice example of the application of recent NLP thesis topics to parsing problems, though. Quite suitable as documentation and reference for, e.g. future work on SpaCy - which is much more usable in productive contexts.
Or "actual computer hacking" in the sense that someone downloaded Trump''s tax returns from the IRS servers and passed them to the NYT?
Also the corrupt terms of the zcash social contract make it abhorrent to many of us, who believe in open source, peer-review, and decentralization of authority, as well as casting deep suspicion on the motivations of the beneficiaries of zcash's corporate structure, and the acts which self-interest will therefore dictate.
Edit: Ooooh. Did that strike a sensitive nerve? Relevant facts are unwelcome?
