I have a Google Cache bookmarklet ready for this. Why do Gawker pages look right in Google Cache? Are they cheating?

Maybe not for long, there is a work in progress: http://tedwvc.wordpress.com/2012/03/11/how-to-get-visual-c-2...

I'm surprised that http://ycombinator.com/newsnews.html has not been updated on this important topic. How much would it help, though? There should be an RSS of it.

The hashbang is the problem, just removing it also does the trick: http://mobile.twitter.com/collusionapp/status/20836684578122...

Is that the effect of Joel's 80/20 rule?

I submitted that 1 month ago - http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=3903705 - and my nick ranit8 has been killed.

I found a possible reason yesterday, it was a duplicate of http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=3699293

Damn, you are dead since 3 days thanks to this: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=4027951 . And you are much more active than I am.

But it worked wonderfully on me. I kept using my account[1] for a whole month before noticing 2 days ago, and finding the cause[2] yesterday. My second account, altran, got killed on the 1st submission. This is my 3rd account.

A submission of the tiny, cheap and dangerous fake iPhone charger killed my account 1 month ago, even though it got 140 points (duplicate or linkbait, anyone care to explain?)
