I wish it had better defaults but now I run it as is. After a while you get used to it. The only thing I always have to change is the mouse scroll and my brain cannot retain the exact command.
But that's besides the point. The point is no company owns linux so you're not tied to big tech even if they are the biggest contributors to the kernel.
I like it and I don't use it at all for politics.
I wish I could go back in time to watch the movie for the first time.
I don't know how this blocking works. A couple minutes ago I could access this link but now I can't. It's happening with another website too. It's like an intermittent blocking today.
Valve is pushing mostly open source to expand to other platforms which is a win win for everybody.
And what's worse is the infinite scroll.

And the funny thing is free football is working as always. I know because a friend is watching a game right now while he comments on HN.To me it's not about a couple seconds that takes me to look at my phone. It's the inability to have it on all my monitors just like all other DE. And it's not only the time. You can't access your notifications, your app indicator icons or anything you add to that top bar through extensions.
It still has some of that Gnome Shell feeling that I like but with many features I want that we'll never see in Gnome, like having the top bar on all screens. Right now if you have a full screen app on your main screen you can't even see what time it is.
If they added independent workspaces per monitor I'll switch to it as soon as it gets out of beta.
Edit.
I just watched their workspace showcase video. We have independent workspaces per monitor [1]. Is this real life?

Right now the EU is for regulation and total control.
So, yes.
Even some online games on Steam stop working. I've seen also a several Twitch streamers who can't stream, startups down, etc.
We're basically hostages of this stupidity. And you know the funny thing? Football streams are working just fine. Now I feel morally obligated to watch pirated football and never pay them for it.
I wouldn't mind that. The problem there is that every topic is mixed with politics and it drains me. I'm already bombarded with political stuff from every angle and when I want to talk about tech I don't want more politics into it.
In that regard even X is better. I can keep it pretty clean by following few people and not looking at the For you page.
