I did not know human urinary tract was suboptimal.
Are there examples of "discontinuous" evolution where a chance mutation stumbled upon a much better way to do something that allowed a species to jump the gap?
I imagine it would be very rare because chance mutations in a single individual that confer extraordinary survival / mating advantage to offset entire population would be rare like being a superman among men.
It amuses me that browsers in incognito mode refuse to allow screenshots on mobile. But same browser running incognito on a desktop can be merrily screenshotted. What is the difference they are trying to enforce based purely on device form factor/OS.
I dislike this hijacking for that reason and wish there was a way to turn it off.
What is the current standard for generating valid BPMN diagrams. Does Mermaid support the level of control needed for formal diagrams of this nature with possible L1/L2/L3 drill down, multiple swimlanes, etc.
I can tell you even at one higher level of abstraction, this is happening a lot --
A business analyst supposed to ask discovery questions.
A project manager supposed to list risks and assumptions and a timeline.
A consultant expected to outline a new proposed solution and the pros and cons and trade offs.
An architect supposee to present and defend a solution design -- and the change review board supposed to ask questions to validate it.
All of them are lobbing slop grenades at each other -- just packaged in normal / human-looking formats like excel and word and powerpoint and email -- but slop nevertheless with minimal to zero value add by the human, thanks to proliferation of copilot (among others).
We are hastening the rot.
This is productivity theater.
This is where some of the 10x engineer and AI taking jobs is happening I am afraid.
Somewhat like AWS CloudFormation templates start with something like TemplateVersion: 2017-10-01
But maybe that's old school thinking still.
I like this disclosure and approach. I had a very similar idea to use a label or tag to show on blog posts that I refine with help of AI. Havent gitten around ti implementing it yet. will take some inspiration from this.

But I am not sure if the book covers the mistake and later correction. It has been more than a decade since I read the book (and became a fan of the author).
Does this work on Windows
Older models must be getting deprecated at the same (or faster) pace. So anything you built 3 months ago is probably going to break soon.
AI solutions need better insurance around model deprecation. Commercial API-only models that complete the full cycle from SOTA / gated-preview to unsupported and deprectated in a matter of months -- is no way to build serious software!
Codex apparently does not do auto delete presently.
Need to watch.
I will still try and include archival -- storage is cheap. A reinstall of Claude Code or buggy upgrade might still wipe history. I also ocassionally use multiple PCs -- so there is some small value in consolidating them all for analytics and insights.
(When I have a weekly quota unused and about to expire -- i task Opus with churning through these archives and surfacing learining, best practices, what's not working etc)
Wait what? Claude Code (and Codex) transcripts are auto-deleted??
That's a treasure trove of information for all my projects and I had built some tooling and workflows tahat deal with extracting insights from them -- withut ever realizing I mightbe losing old chats. Thanks for this -- I may need to include an archival step for retention.

Why do they need to be ...white :)
Oh i see the cables now and cant unsee them.
I guess next step is to 3D print a back case mount that encloses the RPi and plugs into a wall socket for power.
With wearable devices becoming more common - I am anticipating a wave of "sensors" that can be as simple as small band-aid patches that wirelessly send data to your smart device. Those sensors could also open up human-coputer-interface innovations like these.

When I saw the demo posted last year it left me with an uneasy feeling -- gut feel said it was more marketing than a real working technology demo. Nothing seems to have come out of that lab since then -- strengthemning my suspicions.
I think I saw some library named pptxjs? in the thinking traces of Claude. Or was it this: https://www.npmjs.com/package/pptxgenjs

I grew up fascinated by some of the books from MIR publisher sI could lay my hands on.
> Many of the titles are also published in hard copy form by low-cost Indian publishers on Amazon India.
Any way to quickly filter for these? (Other than of course searching for each book by title)
Thanks!
EDIT:
The one or two titles I found were not really priced economically --
https://www.amazon.in/Satellite-typhoon-Eye-Science-everyone...
https://www.amazon.in/Our-Planet-Earth-Alexei-Byalko/dp/0828...
https://www.amazon.in/Yakov-Perelman%C2%92s-Physics-Entertai...
Thanks
(the first line made me laugh)
I now understand why there is no English version (though still surprised Google could not translate it)
This website is in French so I was unable tounderstand the text
and the website is very resistant to automatic translation by Google Translate

What gives?
