I should have described them as "left of center w/ an emphasis on personal rights and privacy".

I'd say at a glance there is slightly more crit of MSNBC than other major news outlets, but doesn't that make sense given the intercept's left-libertarian leanings? Of course they don't think brietbart or fox is doing good reporting. So bad in fact that it's not even worth commenting on.
I think it's important to understand "racist" as an effect, not as an opinion. The decision to not accept cash probably wasn't made with racist intentions, but it can very well have racist outcomes.
Is this 4chan now?
It's good when local politicians weigh in on local issues. Your comment is completely off the mark.
What even is lobbying? A broad definition would include most any communication with a policymaker, a narrow one would exclude lots of activity that is obviously meant to influence policy.
If you want to reduce the influence that moneyed interests have over politics there's only one answer: take their money away.
Then politicians make policy that favors those wealthy companies.
I think it's important to be clear that a song is so much more than just the chords. Axis uses a few "tricks" to get things to sound the same:
- strip away everything except the chords & play them all on the same instrument - shift all the songs into the same key - play all the songs at the same tempo
It's a funny exercise that, but it's a bit like saying all cars are the same because they have the same basic structure. Obviously there's a difference between a Camry and a Bugatti.
