kuro5hin is an interesting site thank you for that tip. That said the concept of feedback from ones peers and past business transactions is of significant magnitude better than to that of no data whatsoever!

And from what little you have said I get the distinct impression that you would be all up for the creatocracy when you realized that you would not be lumped in with everyone else and your voice was counted according to the merits of your history as well as your arguments.

strangely, this seems to be a new awaking, when originally written and project started in about 2002, it was painful how ignorant people were in general of the impending doom. That said I take on board your point that there is no longer need for an introduction.

To give you one idea about the design and how it would treat people like you within it, (I notice that your kama on HN (jerry5) is -10) The creatocracy recognizes that one size does not fit all, treats all according to their history and respect. You would find that your voice counted less with regards voting rights and you may well find that if your attitude became a burden on others that your tax level would rise higher than others.

Self organizing self regulating. Feedback is an essential component!

it seems to me that you have really nothing to offer, considering you can only manage 10 pages and a one line comment. If you only want the design and not the reasons for it then you can start here, http://web.archive.org/web/20060615193321/creatocracy.com/pr...

I was so sick and tiered of hearing that capitalism is the best system we have, "theres nothing better", that I designed a new world order. It is better than capitalism by a very long way. It's a complicated idea, slightly difficult to grasp, but given any problem it will robustly yield the best result for the community. You can read it if your interested on the wayback. http://web.archive.org/web/20060613054329/http://creatocracy...

agentbleu··on Game theory could save the world
It's absolutely the right playground 'game theory' to save the world. The article seems pretty weak with regards conclusions and real observations. Indeed the answers are much further in.

The first observation I would make is that 'diverse' is a missleading or very loose term, actually I believe you can seperate people into about 12 archetypes and 3 sub groups.

The 2 most interesting of the 12 would be the supreme achievers and the tyrannical controllers. Then the 3 subgroups could be summarized as follows: 80% rabbits, 10% rogues, 10% rebels.

Understanding the general nature of 'diverse' groups helps to get a better understanding of how symbiosis is achieved (where game theory is on display at its most elegant).

Richard Dawkings and JMS both strong believers of the 'Evolutionary stable strategy' and this again is a concept that lends much insight into the nature of how complex game theory leads us to symbiosis. (When I say symbiosis I am really talking about a stable and healthy society.)

The main player in this game which is most interesting and has been emulated by Google is Paul Erdos and the concept of the Erdos number, more widely known as the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon.

Once one understands this concept and the nature of a linked network, or a scale free network then it starts to come together.

The main tenets of survival past these emending disasters are relatively simple but will be intolerable to many who currently exploit man and nature for their own gain.

Essentially, understanding game theory and the above other aspects of this 'game' then one can only come to one conclusion, that is that the only game that we can play to get us to a point of stability is 'Nice'. Nice = playing fairly and not exploiting the opponents. As opposed to 'Nasty' cheating to get ahead. Of course a really strong legal system would be needed to be built.

To boil it down to simple bullet points: The following would need to be adopted in order to create the symbiosis that I have referred too:

A) A new legal system built from the ground up, (not the top down) that stated as its main most fundamental laws: 1) thou shall not levy distress upon another/nature in order to achieve success. 2) thou shall not exploit another's distress.

B) a new monetary system that served as a loans / tax / fines / benefits system.

c) a new political system whereby there is no central leaders (no central inland revenue) that dictate according to being granted power based on 'democracy' or trust, rather a sort of stock market for leaders whereby voters had constant ability to change allegiance and are not subject to fixed term contracts of 5 years etc.

These are basic tenets that are needed to achieve an economic stable society and are perfectly possible to implement, of corse in practice there are many powerful players who are too busy exploiting people and the planet who would fight vigorously to avoid such a system.

Turns out in FullText search In boolean mode, there are many stop words, "it's" "I'M" are just 2 of them. Seems I have hit a limitation there on the tech. It will have to be as good as it gets I'm afraid. Short of putting in a custom search engine, that's as fas as the tech allows for them moment, unless I build in a workaround to change all single quotes something else then change back. I will sleep on that...

It seems the norm in this sector is to be open about this data (lyrics), all of the main sites have same and none are in license agreements. Plus others are opening shop with APIs for access.

in full screen mode controls are more visible, its really best in that mode. So I encourage that rather than bigger more invasive controls

hmm, site getting slow. I have to be careful about robots, they can kill it, as its all generated dynamically thus memory is an issue and I just downgraded memory as I like to run a tight ship.

The flash widget I built, its all custom, Images from Flickr and MP3s sourced through Seeqpod, both have shit hot APIs.

there are some lyrics sources about, one i found after was: http://lyricwiki.org/Main_Page

Nice idea, yours, but too complicated me thinks for my style, I prefer elegance, as in not trying to do too much but do what you dodo well.

agentbleu··on We've been working really hard on our startup and now this
Bugger. I have seen this many a time. But given you have a product launch ready and they are still talking, I would suggest using their might as your opportunity. Right now, I would be scanning the net, anyone posting about Flash I would send them a press release.

Just maybe you can get a mention off the topic as its hot right now.
