adrr··on U.S. jobs disappear at fastest January pace since great recession
Priced right if money is moving from the bottom 90% to the top 10%. Stock market growth is because theres excess money and people need to invest the money. Supply and demand. There's reason why you can buy any ultra luxury car right(look at ferrari's revenue growth) and private jet industry is booming.

What about the criminal lawyers that they needed when they charged with crimes? Did they get any money?

How much did they spend on lawyers?

Common in all countries. US will seize domains from TLDs under US jurisdiction.

Power generation is going down, power delivery is going up. Power delivery is way more expensive than the actual electricity.

Are amazon stores automated? I have Amazon fresh store next to me, they have the smart grocery carts that no one uses because they are overly finicky. They have same number of employees as other grocery stores.

Laws don't matter in the US any more. Epstein files aren't being released even though there is law that requires. TikTok is still operating in the US even though there is law that bans it. Laws are only recommendations now.
adrr··on The Vietnam government has banned rooted phones from using any banking app
Only on older versions of Android. Apps are very locked down on what you can get. I would have loved to be able to fingerprint a device when i was at the challenger bank and application list is very good for fingerprinting.. We would fingerprint on the web to detect bots.
adrr··on The Vietnam government has banned rooted phones from using any banking app
Like what data? Curious because I built and launched a challenger bank.
adrr··on The Vietnam government has banned rooted phones from using any banking app
Bunch of fintechs only let your signup from an app. Easier to secure and prevent bots. Pin certs, detect virtualization, etc.
adrr··on Cloudflare CEO on the Italy fines
Italy can use the same argument.
adrr··on Cloudflare CEO on the Italy fines
1.1.1.1 DNS is just querying root DNS servers. And @elon.jet twitter account was just querying ADS data and posting it. Its exactly same, yet this guy praises Elon.
adrr··on Cloudflare CEO on the Italy fines
Elon Musk the bastion of free speech who famously banned a twitter account that posted publicly available information.
adrr··on Chase to become new issuer of Apple Card
If you don't want to mess with points, its a great card. You still need another card for travel since it doesn't have rental car insurance, travel insurance, etc. Its missing all the features that normally come with Visa Infinite or Mastercard World Elite cards.
adrr··on Chase to become new issuer of Apple Card
For prime plus you can get better cards, for people sub 660 credit score, it is the best card on the market. Chase's subprime card which is the slate offers no rewards.
adrr··on Chase to become new issuer of Apple Card
What bank offers rewards and no fees to subprime(below 660) customers? There aren't any. Why no wanted the deal. Guaranteed to lose money. Its not like there's name recognition, i doubt most people could name the underlying bank for the Apple Card. Only place the bank is mentioned is the fine print at the bottom of the card details. Everything is branded "Apple Card"
adrr··on Chase to become new issuer of Apple Card
I would guess putting a cap of 660 credit score and adding some fees back like late fee, over limit fee, and return payment fee. I don't see JPM doing a card with rewards/cash back in the sub prime market, slate doesn't have any rewards.

Apple card with GS was amazing deal for people who didn't have prime credit.

adrr··on Chase to become new issuer of Apple Card
Why would a bank chose to lose billions of dollars?
adrr··on Tailscale state file encryption no longer enabled by default
Wouldn't you want TPM to brick the machine if the firmware was modified? If something or someone modified your firmware, do you want the TPM key to remain intact? Its something you need to be aware of when upgrading firmware, disable encryption that relies on TPM or make a backup copy of the key.
adrr··on The Target forensics lab (2024)
Thats the risk right. If a cashier makes a mistake and doesn't scan and item, nothing happens. If you make the same mistake, you could be hauled off to jail, prosecuted, lose your job. Why put yourself through that risk. Its common enough, that its probably happened to you that a cashier has missed a scan.

On the flip side, you could also sue and win lots of money. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/12/01/us/walmart-shoplifting-la...

adrr··on Vietnam bans unskippable ads
People don't care. Youtube has an option to watch it without ads, most people don't. I refuse to watch ads and pay for the ad-free versions of the streamers. Lots people won't pay. Would the average person pay $10/m for ad free social media? Or pay for add free search? Pretty sure there are search engines that you can pay that are ad free.

What needs to be regulated is ads that you can't avoid. You can avoid online ads by paying ad free versions or not browsing certain sites(eg: instagram, FB). Billboards need to go away, and some cities have outlawed them.

adrr··on Tesla sales fell by 9 percent in 2025, its second yearly decline

Promise of a self driving car.
adrr··on Tesla sales fell by 9 percent in 2025, its second yearly decline
I own 2019 model 3. Car is falling apart which is why consumer reports Tesla in last place in reliability. Won’t fix things under warranty either, they claimed I hit a something when my front suspension failed which is a very common issue in my car. Also paid for FSD, but not getting upgraded to the new hardware like Musk promised so will never get true FSD. Worst car I ever bought.
adrr··on Autoland saves King Air, everyone reported safe
i assume it has to do with success rate. If a safety system is 99% successful, that’s really good. Not so good if you’re going to use it all time.
