I'm actually rather interested in what many of those fancy words mean. I'll end up searching around, but beyond that, are there any decent resources you would recommend for someone with only a basic understanding of the market?

Which is even worse; Arial looks terrible compared to Segoe UI or Calibri.

Agreed. I don't know if it's just me, but Helvetica looks rather bad on Windows. I've found that Segoe UI almost always looks more pleasing, and yet Helvetica is omnipresent on the web (partially because of Twitter bootstrap).

Get-Help has proven useful at times for me, though sometimes not as detailed as I'd like (even with -full).

That doesn't seem to work, either. Besides, Command generally maps to Ctrl/Alt on most pieces of software.

Hey, just wanted to say Snaggy is awesome. I saw your post a long time ago on Reddit, and you have saved me many seconds in the screenshot process. Not a huge fan of the fact that "View image" doesn't work exactly as I'd expect, but I understand the ads are necessary, so no complaints. Thanks for the awesome site!

I still don't understand why there is almost no push towards restartless extensions on the AMO site apart from one "restartless" badge for addons. The front page[0] has literally no mention of them. For a while, they didn't have too many restartless add-ons. Recently, they've been getting more popular; Adblock Plus added restartless support a while back, after much work, and there are quite a few others [1]. It would be a decent time to start featuring these much more prominently, if not exclusively.

[0] https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/ [1] https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/tag/restartless [the only way, as far as I can tell, to get this list is to manually search for this tag]

I've always wondered how the site snag.gy does something similar. Take this link, for example (you'll have to disable AdBlock if you want to see the ad): http://i.snag.gy/0obAy.jpg (ignore the image itself; it was one of the first to pop up in my history)

The source is just the image, and you can embed the image, but there's an ad under the image. Also, right click -> view image or copy image location point to the same URL.

I don't know if this is on purpose, but the "Cmd+Shift+K" binding is not activated by "Ctrl+Shift+K" or "Alt+Shift+K" on non-Macs. Seems to work great otherwise, though.

Pretty cool, but that front page is relatively old compared to the new one. (http://www.bing.com)

I don't know of one that covers as much as this course, but for node beginners this is pretty good: http://www.nodebeginner.org/
