aaa_aaa··on Marc Andreessen: I regret not doing more to support and defend Brendan Eich
Changing the subject to a political comedy show is silly.
aaa_aaa··on Hospitals that make profits should pay taxes
Basically they have huge monopoly on the opposite side. So they go to niche (eg rich.)
aaa_aaa··on Hospitals that make profits should pay taxes
Why? To give terrible service and managed by bureaucrats? Or being a leech of the state medical system?
aaa_aaa··on Intel Brags of $152B in Stock Buybacks. Why Does It Need an $8B Subsidy?
Sure, but fab will still not work well. But I don't think they care. Intel gets money, State get's its propaganda.
aaa_aaa··on Intel Brags of $152B in Stock Buybacks. Why Does It Need an $8B Subsidy?
If you can get "free" money from the state why not?
aaa_aaa··on Nokia Tells Reddit It Infringes Some Patents in Lead-Up to IPO
Reason I mentioned empirical evidence is for people who would not accept abolishing IP and copyright laws on philosophical grounds. Otherwise, for me its illegitimacy does not require evidence.
aaa_aaa··on Nokia Tells Reddit It Infringes Some Patents in Lead-Up to IPO
Lockean way.
aaa_aaa··on Nokia Tells Reddit It Infringes Some Patents in Lead-Up to IPO
No. That is property and can be owned. IP is not tangible, can be exactly copied once observed, without effecting the original.
aaa_aaa··on Nokia Tells Reddit It Infringes Some Patents in Lead-Up to IPO
Both patents and copyright laws are monopoly rights given by state. They are evil and should be abolished without exception. IP is not property, and empirical evindence shows they do more harm then good for humanity.

There are some avid supporters of this strain of thought. Here is an example: albeit old, this may give some background:

aaa_aaa··on Google's Ban on Election Queries in Gemini AI Sparks Debate
One thing I disagree is that Google is not terrified being unfair. They are terrified because their bias would be unveiled so funny they will be shamed and ridiculed by it.
aaa_aaa··on Google's Ban on Election Queries in Gemini AI Sparks Debate
Perhaps they want to hide their extreme bias which would be revealed in a comical way.
aaa_aaa··on Psychopathological Correlates of Conspiracy Beliefs
I think many are proven to be correct or likely to be correct. 1,2,4,5 etc
aaa_aaa··on Mozilla names new CEO as it pivots to data privacy
Good riddance. State of mozilla shows she was not fit for the job. It is too late anyway. Years ago, she should have been fired for her post after the death of a veteran mozilla developer.
aaa_aaa··on Austerity Is an Antidemocratic Strategy to Boost Capital
Austerity is result of reckless state money printing and waste.
aaa_aaa··on MotorOS: a Rust-first operating system for x64 VMs
I think the most close to production ready "mostly" Rust OS is Fuchsia.
aaa_aaa··on Are we doing this again? Yes, we're doing this again
I miss times when people stated their opinions directly and concisely.
aaa_aaa··on Carbon capture pipeline nixed after widespread opposition
Aren't all carbon capture projects are actually scams for collecting free money from state?
aaa_aaa··on LinkedIn laying off nearly 700, mostly from core engineering teams
Haven't seen a well functioning union. Years ago I was practically forced to enter some, they were all scams. If you are a member of a good one, good for you.
aaa_aaa··on Intel Launches Arc A580: A $179 Graphics Card for 1080p Gaming
This site is probably founded by someone - whose parents/siblings are working in Intel - who has Intel shares - who was rejected for a job application by AMD - A proxy of Intel PR department
aaa_aaa··on EU "Chat Control" and Mandatory Client Side Scanning
Thanks for your time, agreed.
aaa_aaa··on Mathematician warns US spies may be weakening next-gen encryption
Encryption, like other things, is too important to leave at the hands of the state.
aaa_aaa··on EU "Chat Control" and Mandatory Client Side Scanning
Then it is a wrong use of terms.
aaa_aaa··on EU "Chat Control" and Mandatory Client Side Scanning
How is this "private market will regulate it" when this is enforced by EU?
aaa_aaa··on Vocal fry register
Or..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDfJn1kcQuU

aaa_aaa··on Vocal fry register
To me it is a disease that spread among youth. It sounds terrible.
aaa_aaa··on Rising ill-health and economic inactivity from long-term sickness: 2019 to 2023
Lock downs were the worst thing states ever done to humanity at a global scale.
aaa_aaa··on A list of recent hostile moves by Google's Chrome team
"Chrome is the new IE" is laughable. Apparently you know nothing about history. Chrome has its sins but it is no where near comparing the evil of MS shoveling their OS and Office to peoples throats.
aaa_aaa··on A list of recent hostile moves by Google's Chrome team
No it was not hated for evolving. It was hated because it made banks and many web sites enforcing people to use Windows. Chrome is nowhere near it.
aaa_aaa··on Uber posts first quarterly net profit
No matter what, I say go Uber! Uber-like services are desperately needed in countries like Turkey. Taxi monopoly has an impossible to break grip on the state. Many state officials own medallions that were granted more than 30 years ago and owners still obtaining substantial money from taxi drivers. They block Uber like systems immediately. They are above law. It is so ridiculous you have to live there to comprehend the scale of this utter BS.
