_notathrowaway··on FP techniques that will help you write better JavaScript
>forEach emphasizes you are operating on each element of the loop in a semi-independent fashion and you explicitly don't have access to any kind of intermediary index/iterator variable.

I disagree with this point, specifically for JavaScript the for...of syntax is more pleasant to read and also does not infer that any index access is gonna be done. And as a plus, it is easier to be used with async/await.

_notathrowaway··on Use of Google Analytics declared illegal by French data protection authority
I am not a legal advisor, but I believe the matter is settled by what you said:

> I don't have enough info to identify a unique user

If it is not user identifying information, then it should not be an issue.

_notathrowaway··on How to write software than will keep working for decades without problems
I wonder as to what types of functions the author speaks of on "Make custom functions, don't rely on the platform". The article mentions a "PHP 4.x. (application) which is now running on PHP 8.0". Does that mean that the author has avoided using portions of the PHP API? If so, is anyone able to think of something that the author could have done in this case?
_notathrowaway··on Microsoft to Acquire Activision Blizzard
Honestly, why should any regulator bother with this? It's video games, it is clearly not any kind of essential infrastructure/software.

I feel bad about you man, and I wish people in this website could recognize your experience rather than simply downvote it because it is not aligned with their political views.
