I'd say 37 Signals fits the point of his article. He's not saying that Midwestern startups can't succeed, but rather the mentality grows startups cautiously, with less investment capital and slower growth.
On the lock screen you can hit any key and the image will slide up and reveal the log in dialog. I do agree though, the issue that Windows 8 seems to suffer from is it's not that intuitive on a desktop. My biggest issue is there seems to be no indication of the hot corners when you first begin to use it, and even when they are activated, they feel finicky (especially the 'recent apps' pane on the left).

Does anyone know if the stack will only support WSGI or could I also run a Tornado instance on the cedar stack? I know when I tried dotcloud several months ago it only supported WSGI.
Do you have an Amazon Web Services account already? If not they have a fee usage tier which gives you a micro instance for a year. I use mine for testing/code repositorty/ssh hop and it works great. It's worth checking out.
Does anyone know if this this an actual feature implemented in Heroku or is it an open vulnerability? I'm not finding any documentation on this command.
