Speaking as someone whose partner is a psychiatrist, popping in to echo that 1) it may or may not be ADHD, 2) only a doctor 1:1 can diagnose you, and 3) if it is, medication works wonders for many people.
Highly recommend the documentary “Goodnight, Brooklyn” if anyone loves indie/punk music and is still unconvinced of how hypocritical Vice is. It shows the artist space Death By Audio being forced out as Vice sets up their new HQ in Williamsburg. Great concert footage.
Call me crazy, but I’d love to see Apple acquire ByteDance. They’re the only company that I feel the public trusts with privacy, have the same level of cachet, operate globally, and don’t have a social media arm.
Love this show! The quality of the interviews reminds me of Narduar, who does incredible background research before interviewing musicians. Highly recommended if you like that aspect of Hot Ones
Hm, I’m not sure what adds up to 25MB but overall it’s very lean on dependencies - essentially just RxSwift. It might also be the Swift runtime, which used to be bundled into binaries before ABI stability.
Thanks so much - you’re right, I think it’s about time to finally create a product page. Also thanks for the pointer, the everyday calendar looks great!
Apologies if this is uncouth, but if anyone wants the opposite of this product, check out Pixelist on the App Store: it’s a 100% free and private, extremely minimalist habit tracker. I’m terrible at marketing (my Show HN had zero response) but it’s had a growing organic user base that seems to love it.
I’m taking some time to study classical guitar with a private teacher at ~conservatory level. Feels like my form of “quitting tech to work on a farm”.
I’ll also work on my own personal projects and see if any of them can gain enough momentum as a lifestyle business to avoid returning to soul-sucking BigTech.
Hey, this is really cool! Coincidentally I’ve been doing something really similar with `alias j=‘make -f ~/Makefile’` for a single giant makefile across multiple projects; I also combine it with fzf to allow fuzzy-searching for target names.
I helped build V1 of https://www.balanceapp.com as part of a small team. Meditation is a super crowded space, but it’s a lifestyle habit that I really believe in. Proud that it’s reached a fair number of people, even if it isn’t as well known as the competitors
Yes please. With the “creator culture” from TikTok etc, I think if personal sites could be made _that_ easy and fun, they’d come back in fashion. Personally I’m ready for MySpace 2.0
Excellent!! I'll have to look into that Mearns arrangement of BWV 1007. I worked on that one for my RCM 8 exam - shameless plug, but a "final" recording from this time period is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpTm_J8p9eU It's far from perfect, but I'm proud of where I got it
Would love to connect over YT / Twitch / whatever and follow your journey! Happy trails to you too
