Legal != Ethical
Right. Next time, if the same guy kills someone in an accident because he "thought" that a road was empty, you _may_ think that you had a chance to prevent it. Good times.
You have to realize, you are not "bad" for giving a bad rating. You are stating the obvious: the driver was an asshole that almost get you injured.
A bad review would be: One star because driver didn't say "have a good night/day/whatever".
It's not bad to state that someone is indeed incompetent at something, especially if that "something" can harm other people.
Except that in reality, no, you don't. Except if you are a team. And have funding. No one can possibly go through all those changes and apply them in a clean manner while having compatibility in mind. And even if that happens (waterfox), I (as a user) cannot trust them because I (and many more) don't have the time to search through all the commits to see what the fork is _actually_ doing (which in reality is just wasting time).
From one hand, I actually love how firefox is open and transparent and I trully believe the main devs and the whole project deserves so much more, but at the same time I consider many of their choices very poor and without thought.
Firecrap will support HTML5 DRM. What kind of choice are you talking about? We have _no choice_ (well, except from way smaller projects, which doesn't matter. I can't see the majority of users using netsurf or some other cool project).
Yes, I still use firefox from time to time, but the situation is getting worse. Instead of fixing older bugs, they keep adding new ones. Huge memory leaks and for what? For a browser that supposedly let's you view... web pages.
I begin to think that unix and it's simplicity destroyed my way of thinking. ;)
Another cool trick is that instead of Esc, one can just `^[`. Much better imho than having to reach for that upper left key (god, I miss a Sun keyboard layout).
An "app" that sends just "yo" gathered 1.5m????
> I went to sleep crying[..]
Why? Why literally cry over an account on some random site? My advise would be for her to go find some people to actually go out with, have fun and live her life.
As for the discrimination part, I could never understood why users are getting so bitchy. Everyone forgets that a service (site, "app", whatever) -and especially a free one- is not (and must not) governed by democracy (hint: that's for real life problems).
> I will not be silenced. After years of struggling with my body through depression, anxiety and self harm, I WILL NOT let a website tell me that my body is censor worthy simply because it is a fat body with cellulite and rolls. END SIZE DISCRIMINATION ON INSTAGRAM.
Another advice: seek help. Either from friends that accept you, or by a professional.
I would also expect a more sane approach from a sociology student who supposedly studies social behavior.
[edit]: n-iiiiice. Link deleted. /me likes the fact that the link was not upped for discussion but only to get positive feedback.
Business as usual. I guess prison is out of the question because TERRORISTS^Wdo you wanna make the eagle cry?
Scenario: Simple tech company that makes web sites. 10 developers in, about 20 projects/month, ~2k/project (or more, just because the name of a company instead of a freelancer can raise the price), ~1000/month salary to each developer, (- 30k expenses) for the "boss".
Who is the moral one here? ;)
On a side note, we live in 2014 and still people buy the economy bubble, supporting the idea of "free economy" (which is not so free after all), while people are dying from poverty, or have no electricity. Seriously, can't you see where this whole situation is going?
And you talk about "morality"?
Think for an instant what would happen if anyone had a basic income. Just from the top of my head: - purchasing power -> people _will_ buy stuff (because they're able to), money keeps moving - access to health
And there, your precious capitalism is saved.
But I think that does not apply to a country that has people doing absolutely _nothing_, even if for a year it's a fact that their government is spying on them (or rather an individual organism that does not subject to law).
Simple solution: raise the tax on the rich to 80% && cut the crap about tax avoidance => problem solved.
Those bastards!!! Exposing children in drug sales and sex trafficking!^W^W^W^W^W illegal film watching... wait, what?
While I support the google glass prohibition (I have no intents of being recorded and uploaded in site <x> without my knowledge), the arguments used in this article are just plain stupid.
Even the ability to write proper code would be a more aggressive policy.
I hope all this crap will not become the norm.
So in 20 years U.S. government will act as if bitcoin belongs to them, NSA will have access to your wallet and it's gonna be full of bugs and exploits?
