Then the Passport launched, LOVED the format, best format ever squared and large screen, beautifully fitting everywhere though being larger, loved the TOUCH keyboard, loved the unified messaging but had NO F* network connection ever. Just could't be called or call others. A second Passport the same. Then one got dropped and it totally broke internally, the "steel frame" didn't help in any way, I assume it contributed due to its weight and momentum.
Consumer Reports says (May 2019)
"In practice, we found that the new Navigate on Autopilot lane-changing feature lagged far behind a human driver’s skills. The feature cut off cars without leaving enough space, and even passed other cars in ways that violate state laws [...] As a result, the driver often had to prevent the system from making poor decisions."

Only if your dependencies do the same, otherwise you have a new version of something and your dependency wants something old. Especially hard when older dependencies are no longer maintained.
For different environments and languages the problem might be bigger or smaller depending of the culture, strong/weak type coupling, cross compilation or runtime VMs.
This is the reason we've removed all Scala dependencies and now only depend on Java dependencies.
The first handheld I've owned was a Greenhouse G&W. I do wish to get back the simplicity and joy of games from that area.
I don't like the language of the page though, e.g.
"we hope you can’t wait to unwrap your gift."
A gift which I've paid $149 to you? My understanding of gift is different than that of Panic I assume.
What technology were you playing?
I beg to differ, everyone thought it's possible but there is no mass market for electric car at a reasonable price point. Volkswagen had several working prototypes in the 1970s especially after the oil shock.
I worked for eBay for some time. They could do most of the stuff that startups around them could do, they had the tech, the ideas, the money and the people. But startups can be net negative for some years, or be happy with $10M revenue, while a project at eBay being net negative would be killed and a $10M project would be thought as too small. Championing a $10M project at eBay for several years would be a career killing move.
So selling 1000 cars a year is a success for a startup (Tesla) but nothing a large company like Volkswagen (11M cars per year) can sustain as a project. Large companies are just not structured in a way (would need to be structured like a VC fund, and some try, e.g. Alphabet) to handle this small but growing opportunities. They need to find the right moment to jump in.
The parent didn't make that point.

"In English language use, the Kontaktwagen was later named the "trolley", giving the trolley car and trolley bus their names."
