The less they know from 3rd party, but me, the better!
Please follow these guidelines: http://www.goodui.org/
@HN @pg Is it an ethical requirement, or is there any obligation, that we as submitters have to inform page owners about their site being submitted on HN? Wouldn't it be very very useful to be able to get some kind of "subscription", that informs page owners about their product/site/idea/blog being posted on HN? Hey maybe even worth thinking about this as a business-model? I sometimes feel that I should've informed the page owner, about the load that's going to come, before their page get's DDoSSed, bu5 I's impossible to predict that, without the data you have in the HN 'backends'.
I know of an alternative that I bookmarked a long time ago. Have just submitted a link to their landing page, they're practically doing the same, but allow more card types to be fused and it's a mini-computer. They were on the market much earlier than Coin and it looks very prestigious & elegant.
The alternative card can be found here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=6736606
(A post, because I'm curious how the Echo is worse or better, without interrupting the Marketing of the Coin, on this board)
I am not sure how to think about this in general, but @nlh has really good points. I agree with him that he needs the imprints, but to be honest, those imprints don't guarantee security.
I can understand how they value that offer by that logic. It's always a risk, but that's what makes the game worth playing. 3 Billion is a lot, but their future valuation must be close to that, if they are sure enough to decline the offer. Alright dear traders, get your keyboards undusted and unleash your bids when Snapchat files an IPO.
wow, what are you doing? How comes you could afford it? Are you a developer? You're living the dream!

It makes you really skeptic and a little more cautions, but also open to risk than you would usually be. Maybe a good attitude for an entrepreneur, but all your logic and fear induced by that logic mostly fades away at some times. That's when you think it could be a dream subconsciously, at that time you start doing things you never would. It's twisted, it could also make you overly cautious, because you start valuing real life as something more wonderful than you thought, a unique thing, something you are deadly afraid of losing control of. The worst is: "What if you understand your multi-level dream as bad as you understood Inception?" Just like some friend of yours who had trouble getting Matrix in example. Could that mean you see draw a pattern and believe reality is the 5th dream? Could that when you really wake up, make everything make appear surreal? Would you try to jump from a window or do something to find out if you're dreaming?
The question that reality is a dream is supported by the Simulated Reality Hypothesis and that is also factor that makes this film a great one. Because there is no answer to that question. You could wake up when you die, or you could die. Using stochastic maths and game theory would suggest to die, but that speaks against everything that makes a game, a dream or life out. Playing is winning. Not playing is losing.
After "waking up" into what I think is reality, I experienced a single difference between dreams and reality. In every dream that I woke up, I could see myself from the top and then immediately when my dreaming self opened it's eyes I started seeing things through that perspective .
>> Is sleeping inside a dream possible? If not, that could be a trustable way to find out if one is a dream or not. Much more reliable than a ring ;)

I'm not fanboy enough and would happily replace:
emerge, equo, apt-get, aptitude, ipkg, dpkg, zypp rpm, yum, tazpkg, pacman, homebrew
tar/gzip, slackpkg (Yeah, you, Slackware, we were friends and you helped me for long enough. You shouldn't do all my work anymore, you're old. Take a rest)
pip, cabal, bundler, gem, composer, pear, cpan, ctan, cran, maven, vundle – haven't you also a love hate relationship with these?
Immediately lost my "Trust".
Added to that, knowing how persuasive and creepily mad London politics is about evading privacy is (even more than the US), this being a blatant double agent maneuver, wouldn't even surprise me. Maybe some now suspect journalist, who thinks, he needs to hide traces would jump into the trap. So this would reduce the IP's to those people, who feel like they need to hide something. Everybody else already knows that this info can be easily found out by sending an email to yourself. It's obvious that gmail doesn't need your IP, they have your social profile and all you web-habits recorded actively (services) and passively (adsense)
In the other case that this is legitimate company not serving as a shell company, not trying to collect IP's or E-Mail addresses. I'm sorry for spreading paranoia, to those who are sensible about it.
Wish people would value internationalization much more, other than just assuming English fits all.
