We're not using the free product, we're paying customers (using the hosted saas version of the product).
I don't mind the general sluggishness of the system that much (as I love the platform in general) but when you can't get your work (nor hobbies) done because of tools breaking, it gets really annoying really fast.
The value of Bootstrap is within teams where CSS knowledge nor the uniqueness of your site is not the top prio. But if you want to build a personal (in the sense of unique) looking site with modern tooling, Tailwind is an awesome choice.
This is exactly why I've been working on a live streaming site for DJs and music lovers [1] where DJs can play whatever we like LIVE while also interacting with our listeners via a well-working chat (not those pesky shoutboxes most of radio stations seem to use). This differs from Twitch and other platforms being only focused on music and having lots of features for the DJs to engage and grow their fanbase.
I'm obviously biased but live streaming DJ sets and radio shows to a live international audience is very exciting and getting to listen proper oldskool DJs play awesome sets live feels always special. Internet FTW! :)

Firstly, I now have as much disk I need, and secondly, the warm fuzzy feeling you get when you know your files are now in your own control :)
Full disclosure: I'm a Finn.
The clients for macOS and iOS are not as polished as Dropbox and many apps use Dropbox integrations, but I've managed to find workarounds for everything except 1Password, which is why I'm currently looking for alternative (preferrably open source) solutions for it.
For me the self hosting is not a problem and there are several hosted options available as well. (For example: https://www.hetzner.com/storage/nextcloud )
